I am going to get Harmor, but I am not sure what else if anything. I have had Morphine, Sytrus, and the Producer version of FL Studio for a long time, so I also don't really need Slicex or Edison. I don't really want/need another VA so Sawer and Poizone are out and I don't much feel like adding another drum machine or virtual groove station even though I have been tempted by Drumaxx and Groove Machine. Hmm.. thinking out loud here.

Anyone have an opinion on Sakura?

For example the abbey road plugins do not work good jbridged. They produce lots of unwanted dirt jbridged.
Finally!

I own Sytrus, Edison, Harmless, Toxic Biohazard, DirectWave, Maximus, Juice Pack, FL Studio Producer Edition, video player, hardcore and Ogun.

I am looking to add Harmor and possibly Drumaxx, Sakura and Gross Beat. SliceX looks interesting, but I think I already own the full version from another company that used to develop it.

Anyone have any opinions about Gross Beat, Sakura, Drumaxx and SliceX?

I don't need Poizone or Morphine - have tons of synths that do the same thing.

Is Groove Machine any good?

Harmless, by the way, sounds AMAZING - massive, rich sound but not so easy to program your own. Very good presets come with it.

Sytrus is AWESOME! I've owned it for years and LOVE its big sound. Yeah, it's a cpu hog, but it just sounds incredible. It has great presets.

Hey Mike

Has Toxic been updated at all lately? I read a review on it that's dated 2008.
I don't have any FM type synths, (some I have can do a bit of FM, but not like Toxic) and am thinking of getting it. :)

Nope. Not one update in all the years i've owned it. It does sound good though.

Computer Music gave Groove Machine an okay rating (3.5/5 stars) in their review, mostly due to their opinion that the built-in synth is sort of weak, at least for more "modern" stuff. I always thought it looked fun and I am definitely more retro and ambient so it would probably fine for me. The question is whether it would get much use :D

I am shying away from Sakura... eating dinner then coming back for a final decision.

Well, I looked at Drumaxx and it sounds too much like several of my other modelled/algorythmic drum machines (both vsti and ipad apps).

Forget that one. Sakura is a definite and Harmor is a no-brainer.

Not sure about Groove Machine.

Yeah, I really want Gross Beat. So I think i'll buy Harmor, Sakura and Gross Beat. I don't need Groove Machine (I have the ipad Electribes and other such apps and vsti's).

Is there any other product, free or paid, like Gross Beat, that is less expensive than $45? I want it specifically for the envelope gating feature.

MeldaProduction MRhythmyzer, just bought it 2 weeks ago - very good product, suggest you to demo it.

Is Harmless a subset of Harmor?

Honestly, I like the simplicity of Harmless, but Harmor is much better "deal."

I have a lot of fun with Grossbeat. It may not have all the bells and whistles of Stutter Edit, but once you wrap your head around it, it can be really handy.

That's a synth. Gross Beat is an effect.
