The script is great. Thanks for taking the time to develop MK1 too, it's nice not to feel redundant.

I've a question about the scales, my pads (4 and 5, 8 and 9, 12 and 13) play the same note when in INKEY mode (obviously to keep the notes in the right key). Is it possible to set it up so each pad plays a unique note of the scale, giving me an extra 3 notes of the scale?

Forgive me if this has been covered, I did check over the last 13 pages and couldn't find this discussion but I could've missed it.

Thanks again -great functional script .
Yes, there was a bug in the ScaleLayoutMode this is what you want.

* Fixed ScalesLayoutMode(NAVIGATE + PAD7), [F5] will correctly use sequential layout of all 16 pads.

Let me know if that works for you (get the latest code from GITHub).

Mike
Nice one! Works perfectly now.

thanks again,
Tommy

Noted in my issues queue, will check it out when I am back in debugging mode.

But I get no response from Maschine Studio.
Is it a problem only for me?

Everything works fine for me, minus the crappy Windows driver pad lighting bug. Thanks NI for your support of 3rd party developers.

I will tell you this, when 2.2 was released and I updated my firmware, I had Maschine Studio lock up for some unknown reason. After I restarted my computer and reloaded my applications it works fine again.

But I repeat, I am using the new firm ware and Bitwig 1.1.2 and things work fine.

BTW, which OS do you use?

Thanks for reply.
I using Bitwig 1.1.2 with Windows8.1 - 64bit.
May be this problem only for me.
I understand.

Thanks Mike.

Firstly thanks a lot, I'm using a Mikro Mk2 and the script is excellent for the most part.

I'm having a bit of trouble using the pad groups though, when I hold navigate and select a pad, nothing seems to change and I'm not able to control anything, eg. the volume slider, or pan control, the scales don't seem to change or anything either. Can someone give me a bit of advice with this aspect of the script?

Is this because the Mikro hasn't got any encoders, so it can't control anything? If so, is there any chance that the jog wheel could be used to control said parameter on the selected track, eg. in mode 14 (navigate + pad 14), the jog wheel could be control the volume of the selected track, and then one could change to mode 15 (navigate + pad15) and then the jog wheel becomes the pan control of the selected track?

I haven't actually spent that much time with the Mikro sitting in front of me during this last month of development. Whatever it does ATM is because of the base code and I need to fine tune it, using the controller in front of me.

I will take your suggestion into consideration, sounds logical. I wish I could figure out if I was able to use the one line of text in the display, would make things less "in the dark".

As I said earlier, when i have more info/work on the Mikro I will post here.

Hi Guys,

Does this work on macs?

I have tried it and seem to get no communication between my Maschine Studio and Bigwig 1.1.1.

The controller file is loaded on the Studio and bigwig detects the Studio on the Mashine Stdio virtual ports.

Cheers

Andy

Post

HI,

I installed 2.2 and magically the communication is working now!

By chance did you end up restarting your computer? I had a problem when I first installed the new firmware, my Studio froze, then I restarted and everything was good again. I am on Windows though.

Ok, so in order to get a chromatic scale are you saying that I need to hold down the "Navigate" button and then hit "Pad 7"? I did but I still get 4+5, 7+8, 12+13. I am running the latest from Github at this moment.

If I am reading your question right, you don't want chromatic mode, you want scales that cover the whole 16 pads without repeats.

What the above means is, press [NAVIGATE + PAD7], then once in scale layout mode, Press [F5] function button to put the layout in sequential scale.

Hi Mike,

I don't think I did, I just had given up on getting it working and thought I might as well install the new version of BitWig. When I started the new version the maschine sprung to life!

I have (on my MIKRO MKII) a NAV button and then I have pads numbered from 1-16. When I hold down the NAV button and then strike pad 7, it does nothing. After that, there is no F5 button, only F1 - F3.
