Thanks for testing.
I tried to map the automation restore button but its not in the list. Is that a bug or is it intended?

Haven't had a chance to read through this thread, but has anyone noticed the interface is multi-touch now? Very pleasing!!
{Edit - Except the faders can't be resized? Huh?!?}

Sending the crash report through Bitwig is the same as sending it to the actual email right?

So far so good with the beta. Ive had a couple hard crashes when using Push and scrolling through presets but nothing extremely out of the ordinary. Anyone else experience these problems? Maybe its not exactly with Push but just whenever the computer has a lot to deal with? I was scrolling through Drum Machine presets kinda quickly using Push and I know that sometimes lags on 1.1

Totally. It does seem faster. It startsfaster, Push starts faster, everything is a bit faster. I just hope final release doesn't slow down, you know?qtheerearranger wrote:im glad i wasn't the only one that noticed this.. yet there is nothing in the notes about CPU improvements...Clearscreen wrote:WOW! My guess is that the old audio engine wasn't happy with my system? It always seemed to use more than Live or Usine when doing the same stuff. All hail the new audio engine!!!qtheerearranger wrote:im glad i wasn't the only one that noticed this.. yet there is nothing in the notes about CPU improvements...Clearscreen wrote:WOW! Dom once said that it would be helpful to also send an email after sending the crashreport. I usually do that and so far it seems to be appreciated and the issues get worked out.TristanMendoza wrote:Sending the crash report through Bitwig is the same as sending it to the actual email right?

Dude, the script isn't finished for the browser API if you are using 1.2 beta. There ARE crashes.TristanMendoza wrote:So far so good with the beta. Groups are not finalized in the API either yet. Still bugs and incompleteness.
I am trying to figure out if you are using the 1.1 script with 1.2 or the github script with 1.2. Things have changes from 1.1 to 1.2 in those scripts.

I wasn't complaining or anything, I was just explaining the only times I've had crashes with the 1.2 beta, and trying to see if anyone else experienced them and what caused the random crash.TeotiGraphix wrote:Dude, the script isn't finished for the browser API if you are using 1.2 beta. I didn't mean to make it out like your were complaining. My point was there is a specific crash with "presets" actually the Browse button on the Push when using 1.2 and the github script. It will crash all the time, it's the API crashing not really Bitwig. (the controller will freeze up)TristanMendoza wrote:I wasn't complaining or anything, I was just explaining the only times I've had crashes with the 1.2 beta, and trying to see if anyone else experienced them and what caused the random crash.TeotiGraphix wrote:Dude, the script isn't finished for the browser API if you are using 1.2 beta. Exactly the thing I wanted - I got soooo used to this in Sony Vegas, I was sure it's gonna end up in Bitwig too. Both Vegas and Bitwig are incredibly intuitive to use.KazRemark wrote:Is it supposed to be possible to import a .bwproject as a clip? Hi Folks, could you try to reproduce the following error, pls....
Here's what I've done:
I created a new project with 7 Effect tracks, this saved as a template.
The template reloaded and created a new instrument track, using the Audition browser to load the Freak Ass Marimba.
Loading these multisample takes a long time. (about 10 seconds, using an SSD for the host OS) Other multisamples load significantly faster.
Now I wanted to replace the multisample with another of Bitwigs own onces , again using the Audition browser and then he hanged himself with the analysis of the file. I got to kill Bitwig to make it stop.
My system: Intel i5 @ 1.7GHz, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD (Samsung Series 5 Ultra)
OS: Ubuntu 04.14 64bit, with Jack
I do not use RT-kernel nor do I use real-time processing in Jack
Latency is set to 512 samples
I haven´t used any external soundcard.
Cheers

A smart collection is basically a search AFAIK, but yeah, the GUI needs some massive improvements so you actually know what you dotoby wrote:Can somebody explain how create new collection & create new smart collection works? Couldn't find any info on it.
As far as I figured out, the first line is the title of the collection and the second is basically a search term. So if you are in the presets area and create a smart collection "Bell", "Bell", when you click on it you get all presets with the term bell in them. "Smart" it is since it is searching the current set of presets, so if you add or remove some, this will be reflected in the results.
One could also call it as saved search.
If you search something in the main search field and then create a smart collection, the search term(s) from the main search field will already be entered in the smart selection GUI for you.
Cheers,
Tom
