I bought that skin and i must say even tho it has greatier aproach to see parameters a bit more clear then the original, the skin lacks professional touch in colors and contrast between some parts (and its with almost all Satyatunes skins). I ended up using again orange skin.Examigan wrote:Have you seen this?e-modic wrote:When will 2.8 be released? I like the gui.
It looks like a computer synth which is what it is. I'm not trying to pretend im playing a moog here.

I agree that it looks really small in big/retina screens. I'll fix that hopefuly in v3.0

Disclaimer: Not here to bash the synth, just posting my opinion, but neither the colours, nor the design is the problem here IMO. The problem is the way the signal flow, and the whole GUI arrangement is like. It just doesn't make sense, and is overly confusing. I guess it's also testament to the mane features which have been added to Synthmaster, and which had to be placed somewhere. So you have lots of tabs, and everything is spread all over the place. Never really got the need for the layer view either, if you put on and off switches on the respective sections, it'd be more obvious and clear. And what do the arp, and fx functions do tabbed there with the layer view? Doesn't make sense. I also found the gazillions of menu options in the mod matrix context menu very confusing. There's really lots to improve in terms of the GUI IMO (and let me point out one more time that that's my opinion, and doesn't have to be valid for everyone, even though i read lots of complaints about Synthmaster's GUI). I think a rework would really do wonders, especially when it would be done with a clear signal flow, like on most other synths.Examigan wrote:Have you seen this?e-modic wrote:When will 2.8 be released? Btw, also wanna add that Bulent is a great guy who really listens to what people say about Synthmaster, positive or negative, and is always up to improve Synthmaster, and really does a great job with it. Just though i'd add this, also to make clear that my criticism doesn't come over like i want to disrespect Kv331 Audio or Synthmaster in general, i really don't.

Eh, you know what? After a while I got used to it and now I know my way around the GUI like a surgeon. But I can see where it might put some people off or be a little intimidating. It's certainly not simple by any stretch of the imagination. But I'm cool with it.chk071 wrote:Disclaimer: Not here to bash the synth, just posting my opinion, but neither the colours, nor the design is the problem here IMO. Same here! Especially the mod matrix workflow is extremely cumbersome at the very least. There really is great sound potential in this synth IMO, but unfortunately the user interface doesn't do it justice at the moment. Hopefully things will improve in the near future.Yorrrrrr wrote:The GUI and overall workflow (specially assigning things in the mod matrix) is the reason I gave up on SynthMaster. It would help if you can pinpoint the areas where you think it lacks colors vs. contrast. If it makes sense then I may add it to my list of changes for next version. Feel free to PM me so that we don't derail this thread.Elektronisch wrote:I bought that skin and i must say even tho it has greatier aproach to see parameters a bit more clear then the original, the skin lacks professional touch in colors and contrast between some parts (and its with almost all Satyatunes skins). The mod matrix is being improved as well in version 2.8:
1. Added "Modulation Source Via" parameter to modulate the modulation source
2. Added "Modulation Curve" so same source can have different affects on different targets
