Tone2 will release Icarus - 3D WaveTable Synthesizer

I'm on the beta/sound design team like Ingonator and can confirm it's a very deep synth.
I'm still finding my way around it and experimenting a lot but it's a real joy if you roll your own patches.
It's my favourite Tone2 synth (I don't have Gladiator 2 and haven't updated Saurus).

Son of Daedalus who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. Daedalus had been imprisoned by King Minos of Crete within the walls of his own invention, the Labyrinth. But the great craftsman's genius would not suffer captivity. He made two pairs of wings by adhering feathers to a wooden frame with wax. Giving one pair to his son, he cautioned him that flying too near the sun would cause the wax to melt. But Icarus became ecstatic with the ability to fly and forgot his father's warning. The feathers came loose and Icarus plunged to his death in the sea.

And a beautiful one it was, unfortunately it was full of bugs, but the developer stopped working on it Too bad, his Monolisa is probably one of the synths I've used the most, I was anxiously waiting for Monolisa mark 2 to be released

Which is a bit better n(actually a lot better), knowing this synth is named after his idiot son is, I dunno, did they Google the name before going with that? I understand those not knowing this (incredibly famous) character of Icarus would not care, but for me, I just think it is a stupid, stupid name and that whoever chose it should be ashamed of themselves. But the synth itself should be judged independent of the naming. Damn, what a dumb choice.

Not just making early aero experiments, Daedelus & Icarus also designed the labyrinth where the Minotaur roamed...

...which in a sense inspired the choice of the Moog Taurus name I guess

Anyway while i never bought Serum i had checked the demo multiple times / sound wise i prefer Icarus for sure.
