Trying the demo, unfortunately it has a serious bug in NI Kore 2 that may be a showstopper for me.
What is the bug?

Can't save variations to the morph grid, so no morphing. Trying to save one resets the plugin so you even lose the patch you're working on. Problem is I can't tell if it's the demo messing things up or a bug in the plugin itself.

Well the demo is the full deal but with a noise every now and then...

I noticed Simon mentioning something about presets earlier. The dev is really working hard on this one from what I can tell (three updates in three weeks). Let's see if that gets addressed.

I do get clicks often, not sure why exactly. Someone mentioned an effect that systematically clicks.
I'm playing it against glass viper, and one thing is for sure: all arcsyn sounds roll off at 15k, while glass viper gets up to 20k. Not sure that means anything for sound quality though.

Unless you're producing music for new born babies and bats, 15k should be just fine. Haven't experienced any kind of disturbing clicks so far.

Oh well, then, I'm out. Thanks for the heads up.

The chorus clicks when you leave it at the basic setting. Change the setting slightly, and the clicks go away. It's not really getting in my way :)

Doesnt make sense anymore to spend time and money making beautiful bitmap skins. We live in the times where screen resolutions can be as low as 800*600, as high as 3000x2000 and soon to be a lot higher...
We need resizable, vector gfx, clean and simple stuff.
If a developer stops working on its plugin, you'll be stuck (in the future) with your tiny unreadable guis on 16000*12000 monitors.
Future-proof please !!

Image-Line is proving that vector can look nice and practical. But it has to be good out the door. Arcsyn is growing on me in terms of looks, but I think I could not stare at it for lengths while programming sounds.

It would be nice if people reported bugs to me directly - I'm not visiting this forum as much as I'd like as I'm working seven days a week on ArcSyn. Version 1.3 will be available soon and fixes most of the bugs which have been mentioned on here, like the clicking chorus (only the mono chorus clicks AFAICT) and updates the GUI with new knobs, sliders and so on. I'm holding off releasing it because I'm trying to include a fix for problems which have been reported with Logic Pro. That's always a tricky one to please! The AU version of ArcSyn currently passes all auval tests and it looks like the problem *might* be in a third-party library I'm using for file management, which could make it very awkward to fix.

With regard to the actual bug mentioned here, could you give more details, like what computer platform you're on, if you're using VST or AU, and so on - preferably sent to the contact form or email address on my website? I would be very greatful if you did so.

What you're saying sounds positive but future-proofing just doesn't work - there are continual changes to plug-in standards, operating systems, sequencers and input methods which make it impossible. Look at VST3 or the way Apple is fiddling with the AU standard. Also, the current vogue for flat, simple GUIs is just a fashion - it will swing back the other way eventually.

Having said that, I'm hoping to move ArcSyn to a re-sizeable, vector GUI at some point. I'm sure that there will be complaints about that as well though :-)

PLEASE contact me directly if you have a specific bug to report! You can even phone me if you want or I can arrange a Skype call with you. I'm aware of issues with logic and I've put a note on my website to warn people. I'm 100% sure that I'll be able to fix these bugs but only if people actually report them to me :-)

Sure, relax, will do. I didn't read the warning on your website and I thought this thread also works for bug reports. This issue seems to occur erratically as I have had no more problems since.

Could you find something else, a third option, something better than vector. Because it's not the best gui technology. It's too minimal and lacks beauty. Gaining one attribute whilst losing another is not a step forward. And that goes for all developers.
