Yes, but do they have MULTITRACK comping, so e.g. you have a singer, a drummer and a guitarist and they together do 5 takes into 3 mics and all are recorded to 3 tracks, each with separate 5 takes?

Absolutely. It's nothing new. As many tracks you'll arm to record, all of them will record as many tracks and takes as you wish.

Ps. Multitrack recording is not my daily job so I only know basics. There's probably way more comping features that I never heard about.
So I don't really care about comping in Live either.

I know! No Idea why they left this out completely, it's major!!

You can set your scene to launch a different one after 16 or 32 Bars, this makes Clip Actions much more useful. Just have a random sequence play for 16 bars, then launch a break or whatever <3 and then back to crazyness

I hope it doesn't take them another 10 years to add Scene FX now

I use a lot of multi output devices such as drum machines etc, have they added a button for multi output instruments in 11, where you add the amount of tracks to create from the VST, without having to create 16 tracks of audio and then individually assign the VST output?

Cubase, Reaper and Studio One have this function and it's super convenient asIt takes forever creating 16 tracks and assigning each track to it. This has been a major omission for years.

It takes forever creating 16 tracks and assigning each track to it. This has been a major omission for years.

doesn't look like it. also still no compensated midi output or multichannel midi in one clip...

maybe they're saving all that for a big midi 2.0 update

That would be awesome! Except for my bank account.
Really quite pleased at this update. I saw the email and was like "Please have real Comping and MPE" and then had to instantly preorder !

.Defnitely number 1 new feature by a mile. Slightly confused about how clip actions interact with scene actions but it looks like the scene follow arrow button is the necessary over-ride. He goes from scene actions to clip actions, I wonder if you could go back the other way - would just require an option in clip follow actions. That would be the kind of seamlessness I've been after. Maybe Ableton do listen after all; wonder why they havn't hyped though; it's a major update, that. Good stuff, regardless!

Anybody know what features are added in Live 11 for the Push/Push2? I've been very tempted to sell my Push 2 because it constantly frustrates me how underutilized it is. There are so many basic usability issues for standalone use that it isn't even funny. I really hope it isn't being ignored yet again.
