I like the layout of the new skin, especially the sequencer area. Unfortunately I don't like the heavy contrast of the dark and white and won't use it. If the white areas were a somewhat darker grey, grey/blue, it would be way more appealing to me. Some contrast between the osc, lfo's, mods and the background, but not so stark...

Yes, with the difference that we merged the changes into the official version. That is, Hive 2.1 is exactly the synth that was used in the project.EdSfer wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 1:34 pmSounds more like a HiveHZ no?QLNE wrote: Sat Jan 30, 2021 11:35 amIs this predicting a Zebra 3 release this year?Urs wrote: Tue Jan 26, 2021 11:08 pm
We: "Wait a moment, ZebraHZ might not be on sale anymore at that time... how about we do it in Hive instead?"
They: "Can Hive do this? [plays a few demos]"
We: "Sure, hold my beer..."
Also, I haven't heard of HZ using Hive much, I guess our project was for a different composer

Yeah, didn't take the time to add "Replace HZ by the right name" to my postUrs wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 5:22 pmYes, with the difference that we merged the changes into the official version. That is, Hive 2.1 is exactly the synth that was used in the project.

I was under the impression that you were talking about the engine mix & match regarding this ""HZ""/Secret project update, and that it would come in the future, after 2.1, but now I've read your posts again and understand better (""HZ"" is 2.1, mix&match could be part of a future update, if I get it right).

I think you cracked it. The big reveal will be that Hive has been in development for decades and the Moog Source here was Hive all along:

That's not a D-50 voice patch in the intro of the Simpson's theme song, it's a Hive wavetable patch!

Is this a bug? In the attached screenshot, the arpeggiator is running at 1/32 (midi input is just a long sustained note), while the lfo is running in sync mode at 1/1. The amp env produces "stray peaks" in the middle of the LFO's cycle.
I guess the FG is behaving as expected, but I am surprised that it doesn't move in the second half of the LFO's cycle - I expected it to always be triggered by notes (in addition to the FG input).

This sounds very close to the guitar sound I am looking for! I hope you saved the patch though....pdxindy wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 8:09 pm more with the new filters
