Got the new V-Machine beta driver loaded, all looks good, in previous versions I had to remove all USB devices before updating the machine, this one worked without having to do that, testing Roel's TruePiano, everything is great so far.. You have to see to believe what Roel was able todo with the V-Machine's display, he made it work like a monitor with animations and scrolling credits, etc... !!!
Also noticed that new new version allows you to very quickly browse through your banks and only loads a vst when you click on load, great enhancement as the delay between browsing through banks was very annoying to me....
Will keep everyone posted, so far, so good....

Hi delafuerte,
because we take a look at your signed NDA. And you sent it on a weekend. So you see, it is not an automatic response, we do it manually. Also it was my first task this morning, you should have the download link already...

On the VM display you have "Confirm" and "Return", now it is called "Load" and "Back"...

Thank you...
What should I be looking out for ? Any particular plugin I should test ? Is there a way to lower the velocity sensitivity on a bank or patch ?? With TruePiano, I had to run it through Cubase and decrease the Velocity -20 so my playing did not trigger samples to loud for pianissimo or piano playing... Is there a way to do this in V-Machine ?? thanks in advance for any help !

Hi,
There is a 'dynamic' slider on the 'settings' page. It's for adjusting how TruePianos performs to the combination of your keyboard's characteristics and playing style. If high velocity notes are hit too easy, move it the right. If you have to smash the keys to reach higher velocity notes, move it to the left.

Thank you Roel, I actually found that setting and did the reverse, going to the left, will try again tonight... The piano sounds exquisite, I spent all night trying out your vst with heavy classical and pop tunes, everything sounded great, no complaints from the V-Machine or myself!

Err ... the beta install does not automatically convert the old banks and plugs into the new .vfxlibrary format/structure ?????
And there's apparently no way to do this inside the VFX software either ?
Downstream compatibility is rule #1 written in bold fonts on the first page of every software developper handbook around the world.
Please tell me I missed something somewhere and please "don't" tell me I've got to rebuild everything from scratch ...

I suppose the GUI is disabled inside VFX for this beta test version right ?Roel de Witt wrote:Hi,

The slider is available via the front panel of the V-Machine itself, just click on [Settings], on the first, upper left hand button when on the TruePianos bank.....

Just had to manually copy the banks and plugs into the new vfxlibrary folder.
May I suggest you add a couple lines in the update exec to perform this automatically (for computer challenged people like myself), or at least have it written somewhere in the user manual.

I'm currently still playing through the VFX software only (Midi keyb -> USB midi I/F -> VFX -> PC monitors). No "settings" page there ...
I have some big latency using the TruePiano patch by the way
And ONLY with that TruePiano patch, everything else is OK. Strange ...
And more importantly (to me at least), Samplelord doesn't seem to work anymore with the VFX Beta software.
