Studio Devil plugins are all pretty good sounding but I never bought anything from them because of their NFR policy

I watched the video on the Audio Plugin Deals and those Studio Devil amps are sounding really good! Whether on guitars, bass or synths, I think those could be really useful.

I tried to create an account on Studio Devil website so that I could demo them.
It doesn't seem to work though, so I can't even try them out.
The fact that they don't seem to be updating or developing them worries me.
Still tempted though

Between Blue Cat Destructor, Thermionik Complete Pack, and Two Notes Torpedo Studio with a few packs of cabinet IRs, I can achieve just about any guitar tone imaginable between jazzy cleans to djenty high gain. Plus some great options for recording bass DI.akeia wrote:I have quite some amp sims but have never heard of them. One may also want to consider the current deal at https://kazrogplugins.com/amember/produ ... mionikM2CP. A Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ simulation for $5.Lazylefteye wrote:This Studio Devil plugin bundle deal at Audio Plugin Deals looks tempting ... Anyone have any experience of dealing with Studio Devil?
Their sales for $5 amp sims are a great deal. I picked up the complete pack for $99 during the summer. More amp sims than I’ll ever need, and I haven’t even tried the EQ or KClip yet.

Relatively unknown brand probably trying to get some brand recognition.Lazylefteye wrote:I tried to create an account on Studio Devil website so that I could demo them.

And I’d be wary of anyone who doesn’t offer demos unless the product is super cheap.

Studio Devil plugins sound pretty damn impressive (very alive). I demoed them a few years ago. Didn't buy because of C/R.

Not sure if anybody noticed but Pluginboutique had the Heavyocity sale at "everything 50%" off whereas the actual Heavyocity sale is only "up to 50%" off. So, for a short while you could get NOVO from PB for $275 instead of the "regular" sales price of $379. That seems to have been a pricing error because they removed that today. I was planning on picking that up for $275 later this month but at $379 I'll pass. Not sure if I should be disappointed about missing that opportunity or happy about saving $275.

I'd like to demo them. But as I can't download the the demos to try, I guess I will give them a miss.e@rs wrote:Studio Devil plugins sound pretty damn impressive (very alive). I demoed them a few years ago. Didn't buy because of C/R.

Am I wrong or is Black Friday this year a rather lame thing? Haven‘t seen a REAL burner, only the usual suspects...

Since Black Friday is NEXT Friday, I'd say your judgement is premature.martinjuenke wrote:Am I wrong or is Black Friday this year a rather lame thing? Haven‘t seen a REAL burner, only the usual suspects...
