Oh, I bought a hub for dongles
That have no jacks.
I do not mind so much if
It cuts down on cracks.

I shall be satisfied and
No longer wary
As long as it is really
Released in Febru-

Um. Yes. Carry on.

Um. Yes. Carry on.
Meffster, you crack me up...

And trading off a dongle for Miroslav is a no-brainer...I load it up sometimes just to treat myself to some ear candy...

From IK's press release:

"The highly anticipated release of AmpliTube® 2 is almost here! The newly enhanced and completely redesigned application of AmpliTube 2 is expected to ship in February of 2006."

That's so funny...this press release is just oozing confidence. Another thing, how the hell can something be 'enhanced and completely redesigned' at the same time?
"All day long, when I see you, I think of you no clothes, wa-wa-wee-wa, but is very wonderful."

Ask some of the managers I've worked with. :-S

Just take out a couple of words/characters and it works ;-)

As a result of this whole hi-gain debate on another thread, I listened to a stack of death metal.

It's just standard distortion fare. Not even always "hi-gain", but just Marshall-style gain. Plus de-tuning. The rest is the sum of the song's parts... vox + drummer + bass + (of course) guitarist = death metal. The distortion itself and the amp sounds weren't all that impressive on their own. And these are "real" amps, mind you.

I think people carry elements along that they don't even realize they're carrying. When the double-kick and the right bass line marry up to the guitar riffs, there's a HUGE sound created! So we tend to think it's just some sickly huge guitars, when in fact the guitars are definitely "heavy", but are bolstered by the other musicians into creating a whole vibe of heaviness.

Very correct, a lot of guitarists prefer the AMP to do all the distorting, like myself, that is why the SIM is so crucial

I come from the kind of school that if it's not good for death metal, it's probably pretty ok.

yes! i agree 100%. get a decent sound on guitar, double them up and layer them and then build your wall of sound with some strong drums, bass, and vocals.

you can have some killer guitar sounds, but if your bass, drums, and vocals suck, your sound is going to suck too - in my opinion of course.
