Just got the August Guitar Center sale flyer and it has the following soft synths/effects at $29.99 each:

- Sugar Bytes Effectrix
- Sugar Bytes Unique

- Sugar Bytes Artillery 2

I just checked their website and don't see the sale prices, so I'm assuming that the sale starts on August 1.

I don't see any changes on their website. Is there any fine print on the flyer?

Some great deals. I think these are some in-store only 'flash deals' maybe with limited number of licenses.

There are some overpriced online stores with very limited items, mostly hardware and nothing like AudioDeluxe or GuitarCenter. I never bought VST software in Australia because it was either not available or way overpriced.

But still, you get to live in Australia. That's gotta be worth suffering overpriced vts's.... well my opinion anyway (spent a few happy years there back in the day).

I'm not sure if anyone should 'suffer' and if you think everything is candy here you might want to read this, not to mention how bloddy hard it is to find a job. I support local stores and buy almost all my hardware locally (if available!) even if overpriced. The original question was about Australian ONLINE musician shops - and there is no one in Australia that offers the software variety including smaller companies like Audiodeluxe does.

Heh, well it was meant as a bit of a joke actually... but yeah I've actually lived in or spent fair amounts of time in several of the cities that made that "most expensive" list. That includes Sydney (lived in Avalon, worked in N Sydney) and well I guess while it is definitely a "to each their own" thing to me none of the others compared to the quality of life I found in Australia. Again, definitely a to each their own deal but despite watching my pennies I managed to have loads of fun there.

But it only makes sense to live there if you have a good payed job or you're freelancer with many clients... I wouldn't ship to Australia and hope to get a job, they would probably send me to Papua-New-Guinea instead...

Are they downloadable?

No, same as all their other software sales, boxed product with serial inside. So downloadable in the sense that you register and download, not downloadable in the sense that you buy it online and download it right away

Yea you can go to a store and grab em. Thats usually what Ive done for these deals in the past since they charge you tax anyway online. Id first check to see if your store has them, you can choose store pick up and and pick your store, should say if they have any available

Because they send the serial numbers on a paper strip in a DVD case, so they have to ship it physically.

Of course you can ask someone from the USA to buy it and send you the serial number...

I had some problems with "Musician Friends" as the licenses of Sugarbytes Effectrix were suddenly out of stock, that's why I'm a bit afraid of it...
