I hope you bought your wife at least something nice
from the few 100's of $$$ you saved,
from NOT buying that totally over-priced, AT2 and its controller.

Well, I can understand that to some degree, but remember, people who make us hate can make us laugh too. The whole point of a "band" is to come together, even with a lot of differences and work to a common goal. Damn, I'm going all hippie here.... Not like me at all...... LOL

Not that I wouldn't mind paying less for it but since it's not out even in demo form yet, I'm curious how you can state with such certainty that it's over-priced?Midiworks wrote:Glad to see my posts here had some positive effect !A3ntar wrote:I bought myself a nice podXT live that I use and abuse everyday.![]()

It seems to be priced in the same ballpark as other commercial products of it's kind.
And...generally, I think it's bad form to criticize something that have had no experience with. Especially, when you could be said to have your own agenda
I think they deserve some criticism for how they've handled the marketing because that is based on fact.
You can criticize the audio demos if you don't like them. They exisit and you can listen to them.
But bad-mouthing something that you have not used is a bit presumptious.
JMHO....

Guys, guys, guys...
The bigger your expectations are, the more disappointed you'll be after AT2 is released! I liked Amplitube 1... It was even useful once!!! But nothing on this earth can convince me that some "1" and "0" could imitate a real-world piece of hardware.
I hope I'm wrong

Point well taken.
I have never been one for liking the company of others. I guess that I am a bit anti-social.
Regarding the drug scene - been there, done that. Now I am over it. Mostly.
Now my drug of choice is beer - Mmmmm... Alexander Keiths India Pale Ale. Be right back, I'm thirsty.

I demo'd A2 at NAMM. It's OK. Nothing to write home about. It's A bit better than A1. It's still fizzy sounding. I can't imagine purchasing it.A3ntar wrote:Guys, If anyone goes to NAMM, we want a review of the SuperStompIO and Amplitube 2. Thanks.
Guitar Rig 2 sounds better to my ears for sure and I'm not that thrilled with it either.
The best thing I saw at NAMM was Eric's "advanced Class" demo at the Spectrasonics booth!
NI's demos were pretty cool also!

Sounds like it was worth the wait, then.

Oh dear. I thought I detected that in the mp3 demos, too. The good ol nasty-aliased-digital-making-it-nearly-useless amplitube fizz. It's still fizzy sounding.

Just curious if you use any amp sims? Reason I ask is you're basically the only guitarist who has demoed it (and said anything about it.)
So neither AT2 or GR2 did anything for you....did you happen to check out the Waves GTR or whatever it's called.
Not a good sign that the only real review basically says it ain't all that
Like your music btw!
