tbh I never even imagined that someone would leave such an essential feature out.

It can function as a Sanitizer also, not only a synthesizer and air pressure cleaner! Can you ask for more of this tool? :hihi:

I'm sorry I've never noticed the fan issue because usually I use it at 80% size in Win10 64. But, I have tested yesterday with 150% GUI size (of course it doesn't fit my 1920x1080 monitor) and noticed the fan is running high like in a very demanding game (Unity engine or what?!)

So, it seems the higher the resolution you use, the higher the demand for GPU resources! I hope the developer can solve this issue soon.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Like others, I'm experiencing frequent crashes here with multiple instances of Avenger (VST3i, didn't test VST2) in Reaper (Win 10 64bit) when switching between GUIs of different instances or deleting an instance. Not 100% reproducible, but happens very often.

I'm trying to reproduce the crash(es) you've mentionned, from Windows 7 x64 (using both VSTi and VST3i) from REAPER v5.29 (x64), since two hours, using five instances of VPS Avenger (version 1.0.22 full registered), for now I can't reproduce this issue by switching between GUI.

How many instances are you using? what's the DAW/host are you using?
Core i9-9900KF @4.5GHz, 32GB RAM, 8TB, RTX 2080, Windows 10 Pro x64, Bitwig Studio 4, REAPER 6, UR22C, BX5-D2, KK S61 MK2, Chromaphone 3, Discovery Pro, DUNE 3, Komplete 13 Select, Mercury-4, OP-X PRO-II, SynthMaster 2, RAPID, VPS Avenger, Scaler 2...

I'm using latest Reaper as well and Avenger VST3i. I get crashes if I add only a few instances (2 or more) to the same track, and then, within the track FX window, I repeatedly quickly switch between their GUIs by randomly clicking on different instances in the list on the left.

EDIT: just got another crash with only a single instance, not sure what I did actually, possibly saving a preset.

currently testing GUI ECO mode

we also set the initial start zoom to 75% so everyone opening the plugin for the first time gets it on small screens, too

BUG: When stopping and starting playing again in the host, Avenger continues playing tails from previous playback (reverb, delay, voices with long release). This is bad, especially when you e.g. bounce down to audio and you get those tails baked in. The plugin should reset all its internal state (clear buffers etc.) when suspended/resumed.

Doing exactly the same test: two (and three) VST3i instances to same (unique) track, switching many times between their GUIs (undocked FX window), but... no crash occurs for me. Tested during around 30 minutes without problem...

I'm using ASUS (NVidia) GeForce GTX 660 graphic card, drivers version 375.70. Resolution 1920x1080, Avenger zoom set to 87%.

EDIT/ADD: are you alone to have this problem? (I don't have check the forum). Also, what's happen if you use separate tracks (one for each instance)?

Got another chance to dig in to Avenger this morning. This time in the sample section.

I found I can’t modulate sample "Start" or any parameters in the Editor window using samples, apart from "Rate". Am I missing something?
Hopefully they will add looping & crossfade options soon. While your at it, might as well add some extra granular goodness in there, so it can run!…. Let it reach full throttle instead of capping it and it will be a beast not to be reckoned with lightly!

I Said it before, but worth repeating. A way to skip through samples in the drums and also being able to access Avengers own drum hits, to make it not so preset locked type of thing. It's a basic given to want the option to choose your own hits to put in a kit, considering the samples are already in the basic content it comes with. I appreciate you can load your own samples in the drum section with a nice drag & drop, but let us flick through them as well!

Hopefully you find a fix for the sizing/scaling issues I was having on my previous post.

I got a few hours in the other day and now this morning, keep hitting little walls and wondering why they chose to do that. I am spending time on Avenger because it has a sh__ load of potential. I want it to work to it’s full ability. That means not curtailing access to certain chosen parameters if possible.

Sorry if it comes off a touch rant-ish, not at all my intention. Just want it to do well and benefit every one. I see what it could do and am enthusiastic about Avenger is all.

Congrats, this callstack is the most useful information you could give to debug the crash. I hope the dev sees it. :tu:
