It's one of those "seems to good to be true" concepts. I haven't tried it but i'd be interested in feedback, maybe next time it's on sale i'll check it out.
Was looking at the video for the Trax Pro which is just the vocal separator and didn't think the results were that great unless you're really after that 64k mp3 vibe with all the chirrups and artifacts intact. Given that each of the elements will appear across the frequency spectrum, can't really see how it could separate without degradation and therefore give useable results.

Mind you, it was a "first look" video so might be possible to get better results with practice.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, this is a cloud based product so there's no telling how long they are going to be around.

Anyone else got the Kilohearts deals over Black Friday/Cyber Monday? (Multipass $49 and kHs Toolbox $99 ($149 for both))

I got both thinking it was the cheapest way to get to their complete "The Works" offering, but JRR has The Works on sale for $152.15 in the cart ($150.36 if you use the "group" discount code and the advertised price is $179). Hopefully Kilohearts will offer a very, very good deal to those that did jump on their Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals to complete their collection with Carve EQ, Disperser, Faturator, and kHs One. Compared to the Black Friday/Cyber Monday $149 deal for Kilohearts and Multipass and JRR Shop's current "The Works" for $150.36, that's less than $2 for Carve EQ, Disperser, Faturator, and kHs One.

I got a couple of Kilohearts $9 singles last Wednesday but they haven't been delivered yet.

I have Faturator, Disperser and kHs One already - would be good to see them offer some upgrade options.

+1 Too many sales and fluctuations -- almost as bad as Positive Grid! :hihi: I unsubscribed back in Oct, and I'll just check out whatever deals are good enough to make it onto the deal sites and forums.

I understand he's an indie in a highly competitive market, but you gotta look out for your existing customers, too.

I don't get it. ... That's a max of 33% discount ....and he usually has 40% discounts every other week :?

I love Saverios plugins but his business model ist kind of strange ...
..and on BF is was 60% off afair. :hihi:
People have irrational connections to sales/marketing techniques, and, wait for it, are bad at math.
I stand corrected.. ..it was 70% off. :)
I think it was the sale before that, 60% off + 20% off from survey.

I'm curious, too. I got their Format Filter with my Track Spark subscription. It's a neat and interesting concept, but I haven't found a use for it.

I've not really looked into their snap-ins because the names mostly look like bread and butter effects I already have in spades.

The new arturia synths are great but really 199 to update from 5? I saw if you only had the free synth its only $50 more. Sheesh.

Tape Stop looks interesting as a specialty, but also Reverb and Transient Shaper.

I anxiously await your testimonials. :D

re: Kilohearts. I didn't try every snapin, but I did find the pitch shifter to be very good, better in some cases than others I have already. Also the transient shaper seems to have its own approach which can achieve good results easily.

Thank you. Gotta love this from the Pitch Shifter description:

"It also has a "randomize" button that can be useful. I guess..."

I like the tape stop, bit crusher and the trance gate quite a lot. The gate has got to be one of the easiest rhythmic gates to use ever. The bit crusher is great sounding imho and the tape stop is just cool, as tape stops tend to be.

Other than that, phase distortion, the pitch and freq shifters are very nice. I dunno, I have them all and find them all to be very good.

-Cheers

*if you're going to be using them as snapins, definitely gonna want to grab the basic filter as its not included for free. Its likely to be the basis of a lot of stuff.

So hold your money back as that raise hopes for 90% off next year! :hihi:
