When I had it installed, I didn't have a problem. But I only had version 2 installed for a short time then I uninstalled ilok and all related.

I liked a lot Loom 2. I did some few demoes with it. Anyway, I would purchase it again (and all AIR instruments) if it weren't for the ilok.

The best way to deal with technical problems is IMO writing them here in the forum or ask Simon directly for help (very helpful manager that usually resolves all problems fast). I have a very good experience more than one time contacting him. I can't say the same a out iLok though ;)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I'm not so sure Simon is as helpful as he once was. Judging by his LinkedIn profile he's been promoted and is no longer in the customer service department, but by all means try him: sbangs@inmusicbrands.com

Best suggestion i can think of would be to uninstall Loom 2, then uninstall Loom 1 then re-install Loom 2. From what i have seen of the second one it looks similar enough to the original that it might actually be designed to completely replace/overwrite it, perhaps the installer is just failing to remove the original.

Hi Folks, hope you are well.

Loom II is designed to replace Loom 1 in your host it will present the same ID to your host however so that existing projects all open without any need to rebuild projects.

All of the Loom 1 content is included inside Loom II so all existing projects are preserved you can also benefit from the re-mastered Loom 1 content with the new features.

This was done at the request of forum members who have many years of projects on the original and wanted to have the benefit of both the new features and direct compatibility with exiting projects.

I would remove Loom 1 entirely if traces of it are remaining on your system because Loom II supports all the existing projects you have no need to have it.

If your still stuck please drop me a line :)

Not really stuck, but I'd like to know if upgrade to Loom2 (and your other VSTs) is planned to support high-DPI screens? As is, Loom2's GUI is very pixelated and blurry (because it's stretched from small bitmap), making it pretty difficult to work in :( And I love the sound & flexibility of it!!!

I know there are videos for Loom 2 and there is a written manual for Loom 1, but I can't seem to find any write-up for Loom 2 anywhere. Did AIR Music bother to write one or update the prior, respectively?

An updated manual is included with the installation of Loom II, but it does not really go into detail about any of the new features. However you get pretty informative tooltips through the various (i) buttons that are all over the interface.

Got it. Thank you, this was helpful. :phones:

I was looking at Loom II. Is it ok ? I heard a few complaints like the polyphony and a few other things. Is it worth it? I just don't get why the displays are so small and they aren't doing anything about it. I am glad I don't have a 4K screen.

my 2c: Loom classic is currently 5$ at PluginBoutique and that's a fair price. Loom II however is not worth the money imho. You only get 4 more voices and the rest of the new features are just some minor additions. Development for these plugins at AIR seems pretty much dead and gone. If you buy Loom classic and like additive synthesis consider getting Razor or Harmor instead of Loom II.

We should all consider AIR products abandonware. They get no support and seem not to be developed any further for years now. AIR sometimes emerges from the shadows for easy cash grabs, but no competetive products are to be expected any time soon.

The whole inMusic group seems to try to reach large group of consumers with little to no investements. Their software is always bugged and lackluster. Any develop teams still existing are by far insufficient.

I wouldn't say the whole group if you know anything about the brands and recent history.

Agreed. They seem to handle their hardware businesses quite well (Akai, M-Audio, Denon DJ, Numark, Rane).

Did you purposely leave out Behringer :hihi:
