Yeah, and can he test it on Windows 3.1 and 95 as well please. :hihi:

Have you not thought of giving Linux a go and see if it will install there ?

You can even get an XP look alike Linux distro I think.

What about Vtech? The foundation of all Mac ''computers''.

sure...how about C64, ZX81, or univac? :idiot:

tell you what Smart A, if EnergyXT2 only ran in Windows 3.1 i'd
be using that OS as my DAW platform. before i Started using EXT2
i used Music-X on an amiga 500 to sequence. i tried many DAWs when
i moved to PC and EXT2(Massiva back then) had the most Music-x feel i could find.

If it doesn't work on abbacus, it's crap as far as layzer is concerned. :hihi:

I have just installed Energy- XT 1.36 and EXT 3 running in the very latest Win 10 2004 with no problems that seem obvious without further serious testing.

I have 32bit VSTs on Energy XT 3 using Win 10 - 2004 and can confirm that Nils Kawai K1v VST is running fine.

XP is dead, obsolete. Is there a reason that you want to keep using it ? Perhaps you just like retro vintage stuff ?

It was a serious remark I made about running it in Linux. I know its possible because I had EXT 3 running in Puppy Linux not so long ago booted direct from a USB stick.

yeah, i like retro stuff.
and i been running EXT2.7Final in XP since it was released with no problems.
i believe if it aint broke, dont try to fix it.
i like XPs small footprint.
i run it with all non DAW services disabled and the plain jane "classic"
desktop optimized for speedy performance.
its not dead, its alive and getting it done for me.
the linux version of EXT2 is known to be buggy.

Hmm. You know there's a 64 bit version of XP?

And I still have my copy if you want to make an offer...

I just bang two rocks together to make music. Who needs fancy computers running a bloated OS like XP ?

We get it Layzer you like your old XP system. You've told us over and over and over and over and over.

That wouldn't even be so bad if you didn't think that makes you superior in any way. It just makes you look like a myopic luddite. I'm embarrassed for you.

Yeah, the Linux version never worked properly. Nowadays the Linux people seem to be running Windows versions in Wine with good success

The trouble with XP is that it is broke for you because you can't run this great little VST on it and developers are not developing for it any more. So you have what you have - which is great - but it can get a little lonely after a while with nothing new happening.
