Ok I've figured out User sample bank import from the Sample Builder program.

The samples found in the bank pointed to here:

Wavestate 032422-1.png

can be loaded into the Wavesequencer wave slots but do not show in the browser. Or at least I can't find them in the browser here under User.

You can have any number of custom .korgcompiledbank files but only one can be addressed at a time.

The Sample Builder seems to work really well with samples that have a name and number in the name like C#1 etc.

If you're looking for some samples to use for testing the builder there is some Zampler content available for free that has multisamples to use.

Does anyone know if the $149 price is an intro deal that expires or ?

Thanks....not much time for GAS to overcome my practical side that says I don't need any new synths no matter how much I like them. :?

When is the end date do you know? If the intro deal extends into April then GAS has a better chance of winning.

The thing with these short introductory price windows is that I'm seeing reports of CPU issues and denormals and would rather hold off on demoing until after Korg gets a chance to get a patch or two out.

Yes that is my main concern at this point.

Here is the Init Performance preset with no notes playing:

Wavestate 032422-2.png

That's in my under powered internet computer so I don't know what the number would be on my studio system but it is a concern.

Doesn't seem to be related to FX since they are off. Even if I turn off the single layer in the init patch the CPU/Buffer number does not go down. But when actually playing the synth the number does not go up that much compared to the idle number.

I normally don't run demos on my studio system especially one that requires updating the software manager and then install about 2 gigs worth of stuff that I may not end up keeping.

So it might be a case of roll the dice before the intro price expires. Would be nice to hear from a Korg Rep.

Thanks. I looked but didn't find it. Well April 5th gives a bit of time to decide so that's good.

There is only one thing that is holding me back from purchasing the wavestate currently.
I don't need it but want it, and afraid to plunk down $149 for it and in a few months it is part of a Korg Collection 4, where the $149 will give me way more bang for the buck.

I just called the Korg support number on the subject of idle CPU and that was pointless so I sent an email to support with a link to this thread so we'll see if that does any good.

Doesn't look like either one has been added to Collection 3 yet so no telling what the future holds. I missed out on the Triton introductory price and have never seen it again so I'd hate to miss out again.

But purchasing now might give a nice discount on Collection 4 so it's kind of roll the dice at this point.
