Wow, I’ll definitely purchase both of those. Then we can talk about how much worse they sound than the hardware versions.

Very surprised by this. I bought both keyboards, but not in the slightest regretful - I prefer hw with knobs on anyway and at the time the only option was hw. I might actually buy them both, not sure. I don't like programming synths by mouse (hate it actually) but something like the Wavestate might be easier on a big screen, and I can patch it in sw, transfer to the hw via librarian and play/tweak it properly live. Wavestation was definitely easier in sw. Opsix is much easier to program on the hw so not sure about that one.
Odd. Korg didn't seem like they were particularly interested in plugins, and they kept this one VERY quiet. I'm happy that more people might get to play with Wavestate - it's a beautiful synth.

Opsix page is up, $150 as an intro price and $50 if you have the hardware, with cross-compatability:

Native Apple Silicon, don't see anything about MPE support.

Hmm... It makes my future purchase of Wavestate (just for a studio use) less reasonable.
Damn you Korg!
I'm curious what CPU/RAM usage will be in bigger performance patches and more importantly how's stability of VST version. Can plugin be controlled by hardware?

Beware! The software discussed in this topic has unacceptable aliasing at -386dBTP but it can be fixed by changing the sample rate to 12Bit

Have had my eyes on the wavestate since it launched, but now I think I'll go for these instead.
Big surprise.

Awesome
Was Thinking of getting the OPSiX Since i am already Covered with Subtractive so this was a Instantbuy from me
I think this is a Smart Move During these Chip Shortage Times.
Btw. I Noticed that the Vst3 Was Installed in my Vst2 Folder so be aware of that if it doesn't show up in your Daw.
The Solution is to Move the Vst3 File to your Vst3 Folder and you are good to go.

I just bought UVI Vault 4 so my budget is a bit tight. Wondering if I have Blue2, Arturia DX7v and Tone 2 nemesis ... how OPSiX complement or redundant ?

It looks like Opsix native can be a good alternative for those who were waiting for a new version of FM8 (that will never come).

I have the Wavestate hardware. Wish they made the discount for the OpSix VST available to Wavestate HW owners (and vice-versa)

Opsix takes FM in some quite different directions. Firstly the waveforms are pretty varied - you're not just limited to bog standard sines etc. Then you have the FX operators (can act as carriers or modulators) which can make for some weird shit. I've had a few patches on Opsix that really do scream like the proverbial bastard. Can be immensely shrill when you push e.g distortion operators to extremes. Opsix can go pretty high and low too - the operators go down to 1/32 or something silly (can't remember off the top of my head). But you'd have to be a whale to hear the low end and a dog to hear the high end. Programming is a delight - Korg managed to make FM almost easy compared to the traditional way of doing it.
However - not sure I'd want 4 FM synths. Absolutely I'd pick Opsix over a DX7 any day of the week - it's several orders better. I can't think of anything the DX7 can do that Opsix can't, whereas a DX7 can't do quite a lot that Opsix can do...
