Nice April Fool’s joke!a9k1tp wrote: Mon Apr 01, 2024 6:18 pm I liked the simplicity of the Serum but hated the inclusion of wavetables in presets, which feels mini rompler to me. This is the case with all wavetable synths.
I tried Zebralette 3 and I do not need anything else. It is simple and can become complex if we want it to. I don't think any other synth for next several years will even be close to it in terms of technology.
Serum 2 is in the works, DMG Audio is also involved!

Serum is still one of the best synths. Best wavetable editor, still the easiest and fastest UI's to use. FX are great. MPE....Serum 2 will be great. All the other synths pigments, phaseplant, current, vital and others took alot of insperation from Serum. Some would say they ripped off a lot of ideas from Steve Duda. Its still my fav synth to pump out quick ideas.

Subjective. UHe is an excellent company yes. However, Serum still stands at the top of many producers go to synth list. Especially producers in the EDM realm which is broad (dnb, dubstep, dance so on....).a9k1tp wrote: Mon Apr 01, 2024 6:18 pm I liked the simplicity of the Serum but hated the inclusion of wavetables in presets, which feels mini rompler to me. Zebralette is a nice little intro to what Z3 might be, but objectively, its no better or worse than other synths. My friend, you might love using it, but are you bangin out chart toppers?
Lots of hits were made using serum buddy

There's something wrong with the way the volume fades out on this synth. Well, it doesn't fade out smoothly like any other synth, it just stops at the end of the release. Its so noticeable when you have a decaying sound with no sustain and highish release.

Did you try to adjust the decay curve shape?kenny saunders wrote: Wed Apr 03, 2024 6:59 pm There's something wrong with the way the volume fades out on this synth. complaining that presets that no one is forcing you to use, use wavetables is peak KVR. There's so much to unpack. So many layers. Like the fact that this was a bump to a thread that was inactive for weeks. It would be difficult to engineer a worse post.

Stopping at the end of release is absolutely what one would expect. Adjust the shape of the curve to make it more gradual.kenny saunders wrote: Wed Apr 03, 2024 6:59 pm There's something wrong with the way the volume fades out on this synth.
