Intersting. I’m trying to think what’s free/ low cpu and has decent clean tones… GR has a free Rig Player (but u don’t support NI so..) Blue Cat destructor has a free amp that’s got a very useable basic fender / Marshall amp model.pekbro wrote: Tue Aug 13, 2024 12:21 amThat's a good question, I dunno, I like the nembrini stuff and have a few of them, theyNaillerz78 wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 11:33 pmOut of interest which others do you prefer/rate better for clean styles. I thought the S-Gear cleans / slight breakup was top notchpekbro wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:52 pm I did try S-gear and do think it very good, tho I didn't really like the clean styles as much as the others.
are pretty affordable on sale, I also liked the MixWave collections, tho I think they are
expensive and I wont pay that much. heh
The toneking from neural is pretty good too I think, tho I wont pay for that either.
$99 euros, no way. I have one of their sims, the Fortin Nameless, from back when I
'would' pay $99 euros for stuff. I do think their stuff is too cpu heavy and not worth it imo.
That's about it, I no longer support IK multimedia or Native Instruments, so I don't use
that stuff anymore. I think 3 was the last version or amplitube or guitar rig for me.

AXP had a free fender FM25 solid state sim that sounded perfectly fine imo also for example.
Blue cats destructor (paid) has pretty amazing clean tone patches with fantastic effects / delays give that a demo. Their ‘replies’ delays are incredible.
I don’t think clean amp sims have progressed much in a decade. Clean is still ..just ’clean’ yknow? It’s a basic sound. A Roland JC120 model has not progressed at all since the first generation of Ampsims imo
Messing w ReValver4 a month ago I found a module I’d never tried before called “ Nylon “ turning my electric into a nylon string classical sound .. it was awesome! I would defo use it in a song . Must do a lil sound demo actually. older amp sims still have little gems in them and much lower cpu.
Pretty sure I got R4 for free somehow at the time.
