Note I am getting an immediate crash trying to load SM3 in Renoise (VST3 - latest Renoise version 3.44). Earlier beta version/s seemed to be working. SM2 and SM One are both working.

I tested with on both Windows and MacOS with latest Renoise and SM3, unfortunately can not reproduce. I don't think is it a DAW specific issue. I would suggest a clean installation:

Mac:
1. Delete /Users/Shared/SynthMaster3
2. Delete Documents/SynthMaster3 (backup your presets/license key file if necessary)
3. Delete /Library/Application Support/KV331 Audio/SynthMaster3

Win:
1. Delete C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SynthMaster3
2. Delete My Documents\SynthMaster3 (backup your presets/license key file if necessary)
3. Delete C:\Program Files\KV331 Audio\SynthMaster3

4. Reinstall SynthMaster 3
5. Run your DAW

Double clicking browser, info, shop, tab view, track view and so on with left mouse button causes a pop up error on mac saying:

"An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Pro"

Clicking "recover" seems to get back to normal. Latest SM3 version installed here (clean install actually).

i can confirm the crash when double click ,tested on flstudio 24

Thanks for the bug report, I just fixed this issue. Will be in the next build (I will release it once I complete the granular oscillator next week )

Thank you, reinstalling SM3 did indeed fix the problem and now working fine!

5 layer voices running granular osc
each granular osc has: x3 oscillator unison, 32 grains max
So we have 96 grains running per osc
CPU: 7% (per core) AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.70 GHz

I am hoping to release a new update tomorrow, excited!

5 layer voices running granular osc
each granular osc has: x3 oscillator unison, 32 grains max
So we have 96 grains running per osc
CPU: 7% (per core) AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.70 GHz

I'm on rev 15325 / W10 /Reaper.
When I try to assign presets to a MIDI bank, it wont add them. All 16 banks are still empty.
Neither is there any menu item for "Manage MIDI banks and programs". Are these features not implemented in the Beta yet?

Let me double check the midi banks, if there's anything missing they'll be in the next update.

Hi guys,

The wait is over, here's the latest build (rev 15349) with the Granular Oscillator

(If you haven't checked out SynthMaster 3 yet, please do so: it is in a mature state now)


Right now it's not 100% complete yet , the following are known issues:

1. works on mono samples for now no stereo support yet
2. key tracking for grain lengths is not implemented yet
3 The visual animations showing grain positions are also not implemented yet. Need to figure out the mechanism for that

The above issues will be addressed in the next build

and here's the change log for the latest build:

1. NEW: Added Granular Oscillator
2. FIX: When a SynthMaster One preset is loaded after a SynthMaster 3 preset, SynthMaster 3 might crash
3. FIX: When a group button control is double clicked, SynthMaster 3 crashes
4. FIX: In Mono mode, Basic Osc should continue playing the previous sample if a new note starts playing when another one was playing
5. FIX: Arpeggiator view doesn't show grid lines when step length is x2 x3 or x4

Hi, thanks for the update! I noticed an Arp GUI Bug (also present in the previous release). Step lengths x2, x3 and x4 are not drawn:
