Toontrack EZKeys Pipe Organ on sale for $36 for 18 hours. Pretty sure that’s the only one of their EZKeys libraries that’s won some awards or recognition.

Sounds interesting - but after seeing the presentation trailer a couple of comments: What is this smart transpose - is it useful? Toontrack has its own installation manager and player. What are the experinece of these?Tappistry wrote:Toontrack EZKeys Pipe Organ on sale for $36 for 18 hours. It's an industry standard compliant loudness meter full of facilities and good looking.

What takes this beyond the (normally) cheaper competition like dpMeter II and Youlean Loudness Meter and such?

The easy transpose thing is great if you aren’t primarily a keyboard player and/or are relatively elementary with music theory. EZKeys really shines when you load it up with some of their add-on midi packs, because they do hire some wonderful players. It makes song creating inspiration, at least for me, rather helpful. If you don’t like sound of one of their sampled pianos, you can also just drag and drop the midi into your daw once you’ve decided on a riff, and then replace it with a different instrument.Harry_HH wrote:Sounds interesting - but after seeing the presentation trailer a couple of comments: What is this smart transpose - is it useful? The EZKeys software has worked fine for me, no problems yet in Reaper. That one and EZDrummer are looking a bit long in the tooth these days in terms of their interfaces, especially when you sit them next to Superior Drummer 3. I’m hoping Toontrack at least adds in resizable interfaces next year for both of them and follow at least some of the design language of SD3. It would make them all look like a complete suite of products if using them all in the same project.

I've never had any issues with Toontrack Installation Manager either.

My Bitdefender AV has identified Product Manager downloads incorrectly as “potentially malicious.” I had to whitelist the exe file.dandezebra wrote:I've never had any issues with Toontrack Installation Manager either.

Installation managers = my iLok/WUP. Can't stand them.
Murnau, thanks for the tip. Grabbed it elsewhere.

I'm probably not the most competent person to answer this but my understanding is that as long as they comply to measuring standards - which pretty much all of them do - it should not make much difference which one you use. It basically comes down to a matter of personal preference. In my case I ended up using the Waves WLM Plus as my go-to loudness meter.evilantal wrote:Just curious...soundbylaura wrote:Me too!!andrew1990 wrote:Use YNY23 for the discount code. The Waves WLM Plus has an integrated true peak limiter but I never really use that to be honest. I usually use Fabfilter's Pro-L for limiting. Interestingly, the new Pro-L2 has an integrated loudness meter. I have not upgraded yet but once I have I might actually skip the WLM in favor of using the Pro-L2 for both limiting as well as metering.

Has anyone seen Oddity 2 on sale anywhere? I know GForce has a 1 week sale for MTron Pro, but I am shopping for Oddity 2 if it’s discounted somewhere.

Very rare but it happens. I don’t think they had it on sale this year. There was one in 2016.Examigan wrote:Has anyone seen Oddity 2 on sale anywhere? I know GForce has a 1 week sale for MTron Pro, but I am shopping for Oddity 2 if it’s discounted somewhere.

I don't like installation managers much either but I have to say that Toontrack's is one of the best. It never gave me any problem and it was easy to use from the get go. It's practicle when you have stand alones, VST, midi files and updates in many different folders.soundbylaura wrote:Installation managers = my iLok/WUP. Can't stand them.

Gforce’s promo pricing in general seems to be infrequent at best.
