It depends on how much you’re willing to pay to get some garbage in return...dandezebra wrote:Nomad Factory Garbage for $25 at JRR worth it?

Yes, no. I don't really find any of the Nomad Factory stuff to be stunning, but it is functional. I paid $29 for Magma, bugs and all, and I use it quite a bit, but never because I have to have that Nomad Factory sound, always because it's pretty convenient to use and the Nomad Factory components are passable.dandezebra wrote:Nomad Factory Garbage for $25 at JRR worth it?
This seems to be cut from the same cloth in that it looks convenient to setup and use and quickly get some useful sound mangling, but not otherwise mind-blowing.
I prefer other tools for distortion and mangling generally, I'll probably pass on this, but, I do think that it's probably worth $25 for the convenience factor of a multi-effect with modulators.

Good to know, but, that doesn't change much for me. I feel roughly the same about his stuff as well. YMMV and all that.JerGoertz wrote:Garbage was programmed by Dmitry Sches, so it may have a different character than the other Nomad Factory stuff.

i really can't believe you'd so flippantly fling Dmitry into the same basket as Nomad Factory.

And I can't believe that you'd flippantly get all bent because I don't agree with you. Feel the same way means "I don't find his stuff to be stunning", you can think whatever you like about whatever you like, but I don't have to temper my opinion to make you or anyone else happy. The sooner you get over that, the better that we'll get along.sqigls wrote:MMMV indeed.ghettosynth wrote:Good to know, but, that doesn't change much for me. Like I said, it's probably worth $25 for the modulation and convenience, but I'm not blown away by what I've heard. I'm not here to kiss anyone's ass, you should have figured that out by now.

You are SO full of yourself aren't you. You must be a blast at parties. Do you have your own fanclub yet?

Sure it was, the use of the word flippantly is aggressive, as is your response here. I'm just trying to make it clear to you that I don't care what you or anyone can't believe about my opinion. Now, can we get back to talking about plugins?sqigls wrote:my comment was not made with any sort of aggression sir.ghettosynth wrote:And I can't believe that you'd flippantly get all bent because I don't agree with you. I did not get a coupon from PA this month.
They often forget about me.
I likely did not deserve one.
Very likely!
I would have picked up Fault or Sandman Pro.
There is always another month.

Do you mean for December? Have you been getting them before? I'm curious because I want to know if they eventually drop people from the coupon roles.Kalamata Kid wrote:I did not get a coupon from PA this month.

They've still got the Xmas sale prices up on the website. I expect they'll send out the coupons once they've switched to this months deals.

I'm sure vouchers will be sent out on Monday. That was always the case, when a weekend was between month end and first of new month. So the month ended when the vouchers ended on a weekend -> it will be Monday.
