Just received this in a Cherry Audio email
Voltage Modular Live Stream Friday, Dec. 11, 1pm Central
In this stream, we'll be exploring Voltage Modular with YouTuber Venus Theory and creating patches for a variety of applications, as well as doing a Q&A session to answer all your questions about getting into modular synthesis!

That was fun, got Cameron/Venus Theory onboard the JK's Random Sampler bus.
Big update from VM. Not only did it require a reinstall, but it also downloaded and updated literally all my modules.
Anyone from VM (cherryDan?) care to comment on what exactly is in the update?
Edit: Version number hasn't changed. Was there some kind of bugfix rollout with the same version number?

Just a quick note that update 2.0.30 just got rolled. Big update, not immediately obvious what was involved, but all my modules got redownloaded and reinstalled!MarkBarton wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 8:25 am Since the release date of the new version of VM remains uncertain, I have recompiled Tiny Voice to be compatible with the current version.
Think you said you were to make a change to Tiny Voice when this happened.
Sorry, may be wrong. It seems my VM instance was completed updated, but version number still 2.0.30. No idea what happened there.

Yeah, sorry my bad, no idea why that just happened. Feels odd they'd get it to download and reinstall 500+ modules for no reason.WasteLand wrote: Fri Dec 11, 2020 8:43 pm2.0.30 is the version a have for months......WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Dec 11, 2020 8:41 pmJust a quick note that update 2.0.30 just got rolled. i had on my laptop once, and twice on my desktop, or the other way around, that all my modules were gone, and were reloaded. windows 10.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Dec 11, 2020 8:41 pmJust a quick note that update 2.0.30 just got rolled. perhaps the same "glitch"? mentioned it in the cherry audio forum, did get an answer, perhaps there is an answer now..
o well. strange behavior. can be a server - client thingy. or some is lost. i don't know.
like, all my vst3 plugins are rescanned on both systems... in all DAW's... there was an update from windows.. but on my laptop it was before the update.. it was after i installed some of the new versions of arturia synths. only guess. but why. some glitch.

no not your bad, if you see 500+ modules downloaded... you think... EDIT: and enthusiasm! there seems to be a new version, and yes it was already announced, or not announced, but there was a delay, a last bug. but that was 2 weeks ago. perhaps they did more. but always curious..WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Dec 11, 2020 8:49 pmYeah, sorry my bad, no idea why that just happened. Also had all modules re-downloaded on Windows 10 the other day.
Will hopefully be fixed. Don't know of a way to recreate so not sure if there's any point to do a bug report.

Didn't happen with last update so far but...
A response from them could clarify things up.

Just one patch in single mode for all this full range percussion ! (except drum part)
Surge is truly a fantastic beast ...

Has anyone here successfully used the MIDI Out module to control other plugins/devices within Ableton Live? I get an error message within VM when I try to assign it to a virtual port created with loopMIDI. If I instead send MIDI to the DAW host, I can't seem to get it to go anywhere within Live where it can be noticed or used (I have slapped a MIDI Monitor M4L device on other tracks to detect it, no luck).
I've read the related thread on similar use within Cubase; doesn't seem to help me.

I am using Reaper and the stock Reaper midi-routing. No problems.go_fig wrote: Sun Jan 03, 2021 7:29 am Has anyone here successfully used the MIDI Out module to control other plugins/devices within Ableton Live? For example, I sent the midi from the kick track to the bass track to make a sidechain. The Envelope Generator adjusts the intensity of the attenuation of the bass volume. Here I used the new Mono Midi module https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/mono-midi
Great module to easily split midi and CC into different channels and change CC polarity.
