Great - thanks! In my endless quest to save a buck, does anyone know if either the $99 upgrade from Essentials/Limited/Adapted or the $129 upgrade from Reason 1-9 is available for less anywhere?

"Upgrades any Essentials/Limited/Adapted version". Very tempting for a Reason Adapted 3 owner...

I had Adapted 2.5. never thought I would get an offer that would actually convince me. The instruments alone are more than worth it. Now how to get ReWire working...Jus11 wrote:"Upgrades any Essentials/Limited/Adapted version". Very tempting for a Reason Adapted 3 owner...

This is a great deal and been waiting for a Reason 10 offer to try it out.
JJRShop bought Reason essential for $61 using code forum and then their upgrade offer for $99 so $160 or £116 notes. Very chuffed. as a bonus had a free ignition key from an incidental transaction a few years back. All working and good

It ends March 31. Also, we bought out all the last remaining Reason Essentials licenses from Propellerhead's US distributor (a little over 100 licenses total) and I'm guessing those will sell out in the next 5-10 days.mgw38 wrote:Anybody knows how long this promotion will last?

I think O8N2 was created for customers who already own or don't want the other things. A surprisingly large number of people buy it, I guess because it's exactly what they want and nothing they don't want, regardless of how much better a bargain Music Production Suite might be.Harry_HH wrote:Pretty confusing pricing of iZotope products:![]()

the Ozone 8 Music Production Suite
crossgrade from ANY SINGLE adv. product: $ 299
This means, just for paying $ 150 more, you get in addition to the Ozone 8 adv. and Neutron 8, the following WITHOUT INVESTING PREVIOUSLY TO THE MUSIC PRODUCTION BUNDLE:
RX 6 Standard
VocalSynth
Nectar 2 Production Suite
Trash 2 Expanded
Over $1900 in music production tools
Includes 34 individual plug-ins

They're giving us much less margin than usual (even compared to the Black Friday sale), that's why I had to remove any extra discounts from it.bharris22 wrote:Great - thanks! Yep. Like IK has their Total Studio Max on sale for me right now for $250. But I've already got 85%-90% of the items included in all three MAX bundles. So even at $250 it isn't really worth it to get like 3-4 of the missing plugins in each that I'm missing. This is, once again, the real "f_ _ck yourself loyal customer" -policy...
Same for Waves with the Mercury bundle. They still want a ton of money even though I bought all the singles to where I'm up to 85% of it already.
They need to figure out how to get us loyal customers to get the remaining products at a compelling price point. They're leaving money on the table.

This point is really one of the few things that I don't like about some companies. Another good example is Propellerheads. I paid full price for Reason years ago and loyally pay for the upgrades and have never benefited from the "$450 worth of free software" offered to new sales.
Maybe there should be a sticky of "Companies with bad upgrade policies". Heh.

You have to wait until Mercury is on sale, like it was around the holidays, check all the products you own, and ask for the upgrade options. That was how I ended up getting it pretty cheap. It isn't on sale for a good price very often though.Rational wrote:Yep. Like IK has their Total Studio Max on sale for me right now for $250. I'm with you on this! But will we allow company reps to comment?thejonsolo wrote:This point is really one of the few things that I don't like about some companies. Understandable but that is the thing with bargains. Anyway, you had years of fun (hopefully) with it what others who jump on this sale now didn't had. Of course you can never buy software again and wait for the best price till your life is over.dzilizzi wrote:I'm with you on this! Again, i hear you and i was a few times angry myself in the past but i changed my mind.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Oh, I'm familiar. I'm a bargain hunter extraordinaire for sure. I seem to remember even at the BF discount price will checking all my items it was like still close to $1000 perhaps? No thanks. You have to wait until Mercury is on sale, like it was around the holidays, check all the products you own, and ask for the upgrade options. That was how I ended up getting it pretty cheap. They need to come up with something more custom tailored to what each user has left that puts each remaining plugin's cost to be extremely low. They need to remember they're competing with the likes of Komplete's per plugin cost and the fact most of us already own more than enough. We're only completing the collection even if we have no real need to. Fill that niche and they'd make more sales they otherwise wouldn't.
