On the registration question, it looks like you can run it on as many machines as you own, as long as you don't sign in with two at once. I'm not sure how an Ignition Key plays into this though..

That means you have to be online and logged in all the time. What about offline activations?
I find it quite confusing that they don't state this clearly on their webpage.
Is it possible to have a offline activation and logging in on another computer online? I'm thinking about having offline activation on the studio computer and at home using the online activation because i have better internet.

Thanks for the answers. So JRR runs it until end of march. ok, some time to decide.

Do you have a list of the actual ($480 worth of) plugins that are being included in this promotion?

Thanks,
G
Are these actually included in the upgrade promotion? On their site it seems to indicate that these are two seperate promotions and that the free plugins are only included if you buy the regular version.

Uncle E, can you confirm that any version of Reason Essentials/Limited/Adapted suffices for the $99 Reason 10 upgrade promo?

They are still doing this. Feb was the first time in awhile I didn't use my $25 voucher.

You have to wait until Mercury is on sale, like it was around the holidays, check all the products you own, and ask for the upgrade options. That was how I ended up getting it pretty cheap. It isn't on sale for a good price very often though.
Oh, I'm familiar. I'm a bargain hunter extraordinaire for sure. I seem to remember even at the BF discount price will checking all my items it was like still close to $1000 perhaps? No thanks.

They need to come up with something more custom tailored to what each user has left that puts each remaining plugin's cost to be extremely low. They need to remember they're competing with the likes of Komplete's per plugin cost and the fact most of us already own more than enough. We're only completing the collection even if we have no real need to. Fill that niche and they'd make more sales they otherwise wouldn't.
I won't disagree with you on this. I wonder how much you spend if you get the rest of them for around $25 each with all their sales and the discounts offered? I'm sure it is less than $1k. Okay, maybe not, that's only 40 plug-ins. But maybe you only need 10 plug-ins more?

Frankly, Mercury is excessive. I probably never use about half of them. I remember I only upgraded to Diamond because the sale upgrade price was cheaper than buying the single plug-ins I needed for a project I was doing cleaning audio from old records for my mom. But this was years ago. I'd probably go with something different now.

Yeah, I don't 'need' Mercury. It's just been on my list since like 2001 or even before. It used to be the be-all-and-end-all collection. But you're right, nowadays I have much better choices for at least half or three quarters of what it offers.

Check retailers for Waves upgrades, in particular everyplugin.com. You can usually get prices much better than those at Waves directly.

I found their prices are the same, but they give the extra cart discount if you remember to use it.

For those who are interested, Cakewalk is back.

I'm waiting to see what they do with it. They currently have an online DAW, so hopefully they don't change it too much. They did state they will give current owners a free update/upgrade to whatever comes out. Whatever that means.
