They have a different tone. It depends what you play I guess. They are more mellow than standard strings.![]()

I have to admit I didn't catch you were talking about Bass Strings. I assume they would make sliding easier. I had never really considered Bass and flatwounds.
I owned a Bass once but couldn't get on with it. I write all my Bass lines on a keyboard.
On my Acoustic Guitar I use Galli Flatwounds, as far as I know they are one of the few if not the only company to make Flatwound Bronze strings. They have a really nice feel to play ...and no squeaks.
