housejunkie81 wrote:hey rob u ever think about doing a soundbank for minimal/tech house??
hi there,

i was thinking about that today.sylenth is great for minimal/techouse/electro etc.
also it's great for synthetic type drums and percussion so maybe i will do a bank aimed just at that genre :)

if enough people were in then i'd probably do it no problem as i feel i know sylenth inside out now..it's the first synth i go to any and everytime :)
would love some new features though as i could really work something up for you guys.

cheers

rob :)

+1 for minimal house/ techno sounds!

what kinda saw wav is this i tried tuning some in sylenth and could quite recreate it

yeah, I'm getting pretty fed up with the fact that 99% of sylenth1 preset banks are cheese trance crap. Honestly.. how many stupid trance leads or arps does the world need? This synth can do more than effin' trance you know.

Don't get me wrong, I like trance.. just not the cheese crap people seem to think you have to make.

I think it's time I made a bank for this thing, before sylenth sinks in a gluey mess of stinky cheese

Yes well i think so too mate :) i have copied and pasted one of my earlier requests that i think would make sylenth a better synth all round and with the additional features would enable myself and others to come up with more ideas... :) here's a post i made a while back hope it makes sense:
Without wanting to confuse anyone not into designing their own patches i'd love to see the following implemented into any new version of future Sylenth releases..it's just a thought i had whilst programming some patches lately so here's what i'd like in SYLENTH V2.

On page A we have Osc's A1 + A2 and on page B we have Osc's B1 + B2.In any new version of Sylenth i would like to be able to route Osc A on page A to Delay - Osc B on page A to Phaser - Osc A on page B to the Arpeggiator and leave Osc B on page B DRY.
There are plenty of modulation facilitie's as is on Sylenth now but this would be a great feature to impliment for even greater sound designing possibilitie's.
I realise there is'nt much space in which to impliment this but maybe a PAGE C at the top of Sylenth dedicated to routing and modulation only would suffice like i have on my Virus Powercore Vst.
What i mean by all this is that it would be a nice thing to be able to do if we could split all Oscillators and route any 4 to any Mod we like instead of having to have all parts going to Delays,Reverb etc.
A dedicated Page C would solve the space issue on routing though i think...
Oh err without sounding greedy how about a SUB OSC button for each part aswell.Imagine these features guys and gals? This would blow all and any competition to Sylenth out of the water and i'd gladly pay well for them to be implemented in any future versions...

looking forward to hearing some non-cheese trance presets 8)

I'll be looking at collecting my own presets as well,
possibly for a future bank.

Would be nice if there were a tool to group presets into a bank.

I think you can do that with Minihost (Tobybear) or WusikVM. Make banks i mean. Try the Minihost, it has a Bank manager that allows you to create fxb from fxp.

Hit Init Preset from the menu, on oscillator A1 set voices to 8, turn off Retrig, set detune to about half way and turn on EQ, Delay and Reverb and you're pretty close already. Spice it up by using osc A2 if you like and use finetuning to separate the oscs.

Just wanted to say I'm buying Sylenth on the basis of this thread and the wonderful support that's been given by Lennard (and everyone else).

On the preset requests, I've been playing around with it to try to get the Axwell - Feel The Vibe/Pryda - Sol lead sound, but can't quite get close enough...does anyone have an idea how I can get closer to that sound? Thanks!

How about this one (online presets section):
LD The Vibe

Use the modwheel to turn up the cutoff

Not sure if anyone posted this already, but I don't think so...

In the VST presets section there are some Sylenth1 patches for free :)
