Let me join the chorus and say "thanks!" for releasing an alpha version of this fantastic synth.
I usually favor very simple, analog-y softsynths, but Bazille makes me want to dig in and learn how to construct patches, mostly due to just how great it sounds. I would definitely be interested in an early-release mini version, especially since money is so tight for me at the moment.
On a related note, can anyone recommend a good online primer for modular synthesis?

Zebra and the manual, and these sites might help too.right angle wrote:On a related note, can anyone recommend a good online primer for modular synthesis?

Thank you for the alpha. I think I might have to get this instead of zebra (first at least). I can't believe how enjoyable it is to make patches with this thing! I usually goes for about a half hour or so until it finally ends in utter chaos... then I start again just for fun! Not to mention the sound quality
BTW totally agree with "Bazillette" idea. win /win situation.

I can't believe it; this is the VA synth I've been searching for all these years. This is uber cool. I'm definitely in on this. Urs is the man, who else provides open alphas of this quality? I know of nobody.
Btw, "Bangin" is so 2007, we use words like "fierce", "stompin" and "pumpin" nowadays
Bazille is all of these, and then some...

Funny how fast things date for the young, isn't it? I remember going to a restaurant where a rather colorful young gay friend was a waiter, and he scoped out my attire and said, "Oh my God...a chain wallet? That is soooo 1997...don't you ever pick up GQ or Cosmo? Do I need to take you shopping?!?"2007 like in outdated? How old are you?
But yeah, Bazille is the bee's knees. Between this and Synth Squad, the sound quality one can expect from a softsynth has just taken a big leap, IMO. $3,000 DSP-based hardware synths are sooooo 2008.

I'm in!!!
Peace,
Andy.

the mini ms-20 type semi-modular would probably also be a bit lighter on the CPU, which would be nice.

I was gonna say, you're often only using one or two oscillators/envelopes/multiples at a time even with the full Bazille.
I am excited about the prospect of a ready-to-roll Satan Jr., though.

(I'm currently working on an extremly spiffy idea for Zebra's XMF though... I can put up a prototype next week earliest...)
