I got a great idea for you all at TSC if possible, make the files panel be able to be selected in the inputs so you can try your loops tracks and hits while plugins are enabled on the track that would, be killer and would speed the session up tremendous, I Know that's what Tracktion do, make your session faster than any daw but this is a big plus

1. Can we have LV2 support on Linux? Pwetty PLEASE!

2. Separate threads for bugs and feature requests would make it much easier to see if a bug was already reported.

3. Or even better: a public bug tracker, where we could search for bugs, add comments and follow their status.

I have a new great Idea to help add a little more speed to editing in Tracktion, let's call this the (ghost cursor) this is how it would work, one left click of the mouse on in the edit page will activate the ghost cursor you can hold down on the left mouse button with the one click an drag over clips to cut copy or delete clips in the edit while the edit is still playing making a even faster musical workflow when mixing and editing your project while double clicking the left click of the mouse will deactivate the ghost cursor and move the play cursor to the position in the timeline of the edit when you double click the left click to the mouse

Has there been any talk of supporting graphical preview of 3rd party plugin parameters in the track list? I think it's great how you can see volume/pan levels and EQ curves for the builtin effects. Unfortunately 3rd party plugins show up as an empty block.

I know it's not viable to add custom support for every 3rd party plugin. Maybe if you exposed the configuration, the community could help develop config files that tell Tracktion how to render a preview of their favorite plugin.

So I waited thinking this was something that would be fixed, but it’s still around in 6.2.3 so I figure it has to just be my systems. I tracked it down to a clash with a third party Finder utility "Arrange" http://www.trifleapps.com/arrange.html.

I don’t know what changed in 6.1.9 to cause this, but I guess I’ll have to only run one of those things at a time. Apparently I’m the only person in the world that uses both of these programs!

Haven't been able to make T6 run for 3 months now.
Been investigating almost as a betatester against different drivers, setting and log files for hours.. Never experienced anything similar!

My Macbook pro i7 quad 2012 runs like a monster with Sibelius, Pro tools HD11, Nuendo 7 and even Tracktion 4 free plus a bunch of others, no issues.

But Tracktion 5 and 6 simply will not run, a f@@@ nightmare..
Time for a refund now

Hi,

coud you implement any tools, for midi edition, such as :

Chord progression, melodic scales (major, minor, another modes).
Special effect such as : legato, rubato, crescendo
Percussions effects.

Like FL Studio Midi edition, or Sundog Software with arpegiator with chords tools.

Hi, On T6 rewire to Notion 5 brings up an out of memory error but still works fine in T5.
Both apps are 64bit
Windows 10

rewire to all other apps is working


edit: I deleted the rewire dll in the notion folder and reinstalled, it works now

Tracktion 6.1.0 on Windows 7 x64 fails to scan the 64-bit VST2 version of Xpand!2 by AIR Musictech properly.

Also the x64 VST version of Attack from the Waldorf Edition 2.0 fails during the plugin scan.

Does Xpand!2 32-bit VST load ok (for you) in T6 32-bit for Windows 7/8.1/10?

I too couldn't load the Xpand!2 64-bit VST in T6 64-bit, so reverted to the 32-bit versions.

Prior to this, Xpand!2 2.2.1 (32-bit) was working fine for me first on T5 32-bit, then on T6 32-bit (Windows 8.1 and after upgrading to Windows 10).

However, I'm currently grappling with what I believe to be PACE iLok license authorization issues after upgrading Xpand!2 2.2.1 to 2.2.6 and trying to load it in Tracktion T6 32-bit on Windows 10.

I've done lots of uninstalling and reinstalling of components, including wiping PACE, T6 and Xpand, then installing from scratch starting with Xpand!2 2.2.1 (PACE anti-piracy control was originally bundled with the Xpand installer) followed by earlier versions of Tracktion T4/T5 (just in case there was a compatibility issue). None of this worked. When trying to load Xpand!2 2.2.1 into T6, it required me to upgrade the PACE s/w independently. The Xpand!2 license file isn't found by the new PACE s/w, which I believe is causing the VST plugin scan dialogue box to freeze at 50% in T6.

Xpand!2 is a great plugin, love it. Also love the ease of Tracktion. No experience with other DAWs, and have no desire to buy another at this point in time; happy with Tracktion T5/T6.

...I'm currently chasing Air Music Tech to help resolve this.

When i want to import extract midi file of tracktion, into Notion, this is

I must split each track, as often as midi file and import into Studio one, to have a correctly midi song.

Hmmm... the option is there under T5 Export to MIDI and LOOKS like it does something, but it doesn't actually create a .mid file like it says it does (It "progresses" normally and completes without error).

Now, I wonder if there may be track selections needed to make it work. Do you have to select channel and patch number on each track - after all, if that information is missing, then you can't "play" a .mid file. Tracktion midi export presumably can't write information that can't be played...

I did try manually setting the channel and patch number to 1, which presumably will play a piano using the MPU401 defaults, but it still doesn't actually create the file

Does the track require a particular plugin to be used in order to "enable" midi exports?
