LittleOne isn't released yet, so there are no testings online, except for some oscilloscope images I posted here :michaelbrac wrote:How much is it close to the little phatty?
Someone made a test?

I had been very close to the original signal path and analogue components manufacturing and operative ranges (for each one of them). With the exception of one aspect : the filter overload. I had extended its operative range just a *little bit*, compared to the original hardware.
In the original hardware the VCF overload circuitry is never really *completely* bypassed. By setting it to 0%, it will exibit some soft clipping at its output. This is great for a "dirty" analogue raw sound (that becomes "fatter and dirtier" rising up the overload knob) but it is not suitable for any kind of scenario, specially when polyphony is involved. Each voice inside a real analogue hardware polyphonic synths has to stay *cleaner* than a voice inside a monosynth. Excessive clipping in a polyphonic synth pad for example leads to an unpleasant output (sometimes). The original hardware synth was naturally born as monophonic, WITHOUT big polyphony scenarios in mind (also if polyphony was possible by chaining/linking several devices together).
So I extended the overload knob operative range in LittleOne version 3.0. From 5% up to 100% it basically follows the original hardware overload amount (with the same +6db, when it is at 100%). Below 5% it is gradually bypassed. At 0% exclusively the VCF INNER nonlinearities are involved, and it translates to a much cleaner, less clipped analogue sound, ideal for pads, pure FM bell-like etc...

The mac demo is a mess... There's no installer, it's DIY. Nasty test tone every 30 seconds & notes keep getting stuck on. Would love to demo it but the pops and crackles, stuck notes and test tones are murder!
Edit: when it's working it sounds really good!

Does it say "Not Authorized"? I had that problem too until I removed the space in the "Xhun Audio" folder. I think there's a glitch in the manual so that there's a space in one place and none in another.Tp3 wrote:I get no sound coming out of LO...
Once I got in working: WHAT A SOUND!!!
Excellent work, Bruno!
A well-behaved signature.

Okay, a couple of bugs:
- when playing a mono patch, releasing a note which isn't the latest note triggered, will re-trigger the latest note (noticed specifically on Film Strings)
- plugin interface will randomly switch to C panel
- when reloading a project, the patch loaded seems to be off by one position
Otherwise, still loving the sound.
