I don't know what the rules are, but I suspect you're allowed treating it the way you'd treat any other mastering job, as long as you're using Final Mix in some sort of significant role.

... personally i would rather everyone who posted music here was open to other members working with it in a creative way (and not just as mates collaborating or whatever) ... i certainly do with the little music i ever finish ... as has been said any member who does mashup / remix / add to another members work nearly always (like everywhere else were NOT perfect) does so in a spirit of creativity or homage ... if someones going to rip your stuff off for any nefarious or commercial purposes theyll do it anyway and obviously not post links to it back here ...
... as with all the moderators (and from what i know ben wouldnt want it any other way) my individual interpretation of the KVR forum rules stems from my own personal opinions and perceptions of any given situation ... as such i try (despite what i flippantly posted earlier here TBH) not to issue 'blanket' decisions (especially prior to a hypothetical event taking place (or not)) and rather take each situation presented to me on its own merits ... i guess like others here i was affected by the fervour displayed in this thread ...
... finally ... please dont take my opinions and posts to be representative of bens ... its his site and my job here (when mod hat is on) is to support him ... which is not to say i always agree with him or toe the 'party' line dogmatically ...
