Well, I preordered from SW to get the preorder pricing $99, minus $9 with the gift card sale they were having at the time. I don't think that kind of pricing is available now anywhere, even from you.
Personally, I always buy the box version when possible. First, there's the warm fuzzies of having bright, glossy colorful packaging. Call me childish, but I actually find it inspiring. Second, it's not trivial to back up 33gb. Mechanical hard drives are prone to breaking, and flash memory just isn't that cheap. So I generally don't buy downloadable products that don't readily fit onto dual-layered DVDs. Add to this the fact that IK charges for re-downloads, and having a hard copy actually becomes valuable.
And incidentally, the only times I've bought something from AudioDeluxe instead of you was when they had boxed versions and you didn't.

64GB usb sticks are dirt cheap nowadays... (£15 from Ebuyer.com) So it IS trivial to back up 33GB - hell, I back up 8TB (terabytes), all my data, every week. (i.e. I run FreeFileSync and make sure I have backups of absolutely everything on my system.) 33GB is tiny compared to 8TB.yevster wrote:...Second, it's not trivial to back up 33gb. Very nice! Amazon has network 4TB drives for $180, I'm going to have to try this.basslinemaster wrote:64GB usb sticks are dirt cheap nowadays... Hi...Uncle E, even Peter the IK Multimedia representative (not to mention my Sweetwater rep) initially said that the boxed version would be shipping early August, and Peter said that he was not aware of any changes. But it looks like what I was then told by my Sweetwater rep that it has been delayed till early September is the correct latest information. I understand delays are possible...I was expecting maybe a few days or a week delay possibly...but a month and with all this confusion?Uncle E wrote:With all due respect to all parties involved, my IK rep told me correct information about the shipping date months ago. He's also Sweetwater's rep, not to mention a previous Sweetwater employee.yevster wrote:Was told by my sweetwater rep today that IK did a switcheroo on that shipping date.

Thank you for posting this, we have more coming and they will continue to cover different parts of SampleTank 3 that will get more specific and in-depth. Maybe one will include any undocumented features (some discussed on our forum at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/forum ) too.jdoo wrote:Looking forward to more of the tutorials. Enjoyed the first one - but the second one definitely dives into stuff that I am interested in! (The Play Page) ...

It's an option that hits in my mind also. Trying to hold out and hoping to at least download the demo in between now and boxed shipping to make the decision of canceling or not.neverenoughfunk wrote: i.e. what is the hold up?

Because if it crashes, I'm done.

You will have that chance to demo, last I was told we were targeting next week (or I should say this coming week if that makes more sense). I'll have more information in the boxed version then too.

I have Piano, bass, drums, and guitar covered with other plugs. Any other stand out sounds in ST3? How are the Organs and Electric pianos?
I have heard the demos. Looking for feedback from users.

Does Sampletank3 have the same FX as Sampletank2. The guitar FX in ST 2 are really unique.
Haven't been able to duplicate them with anything else.Speaking of guitars, I Haven't heard any thing about
St3's Rock guitars.

Can someone share, how they change keyswitch trigger keys? I can't find it in the docs - and the default keys are in the way.. The keyswitches window seems like it would be the likely spot to drag a note key to a different spot... but I can't see how to make that happen.

i have asked this ones in the thread if its possible to build your own keyswitches and if you can make your own description with own pics etc.
the answere was that it is not possible at this time , definetly no
as i also said had upgraded to use the miroslav into 64 bit , but i gets more and more everyday dissapointed from ST3 and at this point i would never upgrade again , to bad that there was no demo before , i think ik had their reason not to put out a demo before
