Are the x3 plugins usable in another daw? I'm a Cubase user, so I don't think I'll switch to Sonar, but I'll consider the deal if the included plugins can be used outside Sonar. Right now I'm a registered user of Z3TA, Rapture and Dimension Pro

Thanks in advance for any reply

Sure, I would have jumped on it if I didn't already have X2 and all the included plugins in the X3 base deal.

For those looking for a top of the line DAW, look no further :)

At least some are restricted. I ran Maschine after installing Sonar X3 Producer, and got a lot of complaints about plugins being Sonar-specific.

It is my opinion that some of these posts are getting a little bit excessive and over-the-top with pictures, YouTube Videos, SoundCloud players, etc. that take up half a page. The deals forum is starting to look exactly like the ads next to forum. Could I ask for a new policy to only have text and a link in the post? Otherwise it is getting out of hand.

When are N.I. likely to have a sale on Kontakt 5 upgrades? Anyone know?

Some are restricted, but I manage to use Dropzone from Sonar X2 in FL Studio.

I would also expect that the included Studio Instrument bundle in Sonar X3 could be loaded in another DAW as that is also sold as a separate product, but I cannot guarantee that without having tested out the installation of X3 myself.

Another +1 for Etarr. I think the Bargain Centre thread is much better when it's a place for users to post bargains they've come across, rather than companies to spam when they have a new deal every few days. I'm think my main gripe is that I'm really over reading "THE DEAL... GRAB THE DEAL!" :P

Post

It's usually users that post "found" bargains, not many companies post in it, so I don't see the issue.

Not many companies currently, no, but there are a few. There is one company specifically at the moment that makes very long posts every week featuring all of the following: pictures, videos, soundcloud files, tech spec information etc. My concern is that companies tend to (naturally) want their deal to stand out from everyone else around them, so they make their posts longer with more pics, videos, sound files etc. Over time other companies might see these companies getting a free advertising space, and (also naturally) decide they want in as well. personally I feel this is starting to happen (could be just my perception). The more this happens, the harder it would be to find UserX posting "there's a 90% off no-brainer over at Y" because companies A,B,C,D,etc are posting every 10% discount they run, trying to take up as much of the page as they can. I just think etarr's point is valid that placing a limit on pics, videos etc would help keep the bargain center thread focused. Companies can always link to their website for all the additional sounds, images and information.

Just saying thanks to HideKyll for posting the Ohmicide bargain at Musicians Friend for $30 bucks.

Took advantage of that sucker! :)

I also agree with etarr, but on the whole I can live with it, as long as fake-corporate-shill-ads-posting-as-found-deals don't become the norm.

You can also mute if it is one poster in particular that you take offence to.
A very first world problem this, complaining about getting a bargain.
Less than 1% of the posts interest me, but I love it when I discover something that I otherwise would not have.

Excellent suggestion regarding mute. Will do... and no complaints about getting a bargain here, just about over-the-top posts for things I'm not interested in swamping that 1% of posts that do interest me. If I'm looking for a needle in a haystack, I want to keep the hay to a minimum.

Since you've ordered, can you confirm it's a shipped box and not download? Was hoping for download product, but I get shipping added when I add it to my cart.

Wish they would skip boxed products and just handle downloads.
