My CPU is SSE 4.2 and still crashes with the new update. Is it still 1.1.0? There is only a single VST64 dll in the download file. I was expecting to have to choose the correct one?

Andrew, Happy paternity!!
I updated to B475 from the earlier beta and all the issues I reported to you by email have been resolved.
I am using Windows 10 Pro and Sonar Platinum with the Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 Firewire interface.
I have the ASIO buffers at 512 and I have not seen any dropouts (Sandy Bridge i7-2600K overclocked to 4.3 GHz. This computer is a bit old now, but it still keeps chugging along.)
To be more specific, these are the issues I saw and are now fixed in B475:
1) crashes in some of Simon's Kaleidoscope subscription presets (eg, Set 5: Clarinet Drone 01).
2) crashes when Output and Input are switched.
3) glitches when file browser pull downs are displayed while running.
I have gone through all my presets as well as Simon's 13 sets in his KS series of patches.
I have not encountered any dropouts or glitches (even in Simon's Set 9 Audio Rate Drones at 1450 Hz scans).
This is looking very good!
Here are the primes in the beta range: 467 479 487 491 499 503 509 521 523 541
521 and 523 are the closest twin primes.

Hi Andrew
I have tested this build on my NON AVX system
it seems that it detects my CPU as an AVX compatible (i7 950) so by default it doesn't load at all.
I have then deleted the AVX & AVX2 related DLL and renamed the one with same name in %PROGRAMFILES% folder .
then it loads and in the INFO pane i can see "x64 AVX"
but once loaded , it crashes the sound engine and live is not usuable @ all i have to kill it in the process tree, i have tried with different buffer settings (i can go to 4096)

Thanks. The prime build number thing was of course just a silly joke. But good to know that we have extra pressure to be done by 479, as there is another prime gap after that, and I certainly don't want to have to go all the way to 487!

Hi Guys,
OK b475 re-uploaded.
http://www.designersound.com/product_in ... cts_id=116
This should definitely work on SSE CPUs now! It requires SSE 4.2 or higher. This is basically the start of the "Core i" line of CPUs from Intel in 2007/2008. If you have any i3/i5/i7 CPU or Nehalmen-generation Xeon or later (or equivalent AMD generation CPU) you should be good with this build.
We should really have OSX versions of all of these tomorrow as well!!

YAY, made it past the Cubase scan! Now to see if we get the artifacts with the my uncool buffer sizes.

Hi Andrew
I' ve tested the latest build : this time, it's loaded correctly, detected the SSE 4.2 version.
but it's still unusable, once loaded, controls inside the plugins are available, but the audio engine seems crashed and Live doesn't respond, and crashed when trying to close the window .
thx

Is swearing allowed on kvr?
Son of a motherless goat!
What happens if you guys remove the dlls from
The 2CAudio folder that end in "a" and "a2"? Maybe it is still trying to load the avx versions. If you remove these it will be forced to load the sse versions.
If we do that on our avx systems we can force our systems to use the sse verions. And these DO work for both Denis and I.
Btw it seems SSE performance is roughly 2/3 of the AvX1 performance on my machine. Not bad.

AVX 1.0 seems to be working fine here on my AMD cpu ... how do I check what version dll I'm using when I add the VST to a project ? some 'about' tab on the plugin GUI ? I'll check that when I'm back at my music station.
