Thank you...will try that too!

at this point the only known issue that could cause a crash is if you are using an older CPU that does not have AVX. is that the case?

everything should be perfectly stable on systems with AVX (2011 and newer CPUs) as far as we know.

we're working on SSE (older CPUs) support now.

It's an i7 3770k.

in /Library/Application Support/2C-Audio/Kaleidoscope
remove (backup) audplga2.dylib
then remove audplga.dylib, try to load
then remove audplg.dylib and copy back the audplga.dylib, try to load
if it loads check which version it shows on info page (SSE3/42/AVX)

I' ve tested the latest build : this time, it's loaded correctly, detected the SSE 4.2 version.

but it's still unusable, once loaded, controls inside the plugins are available, but the audio engine seems crashed and Live doesn't respond, and crashed when trying to close the window .

thx

We've uploaded a new Win version that again attempts to get it working on SSE-only CPUs. Try this one.

I got much further. It loaded, but wanted me to enter my serial number again and I had to add my library path back in. It detected x64 SSE3. But as soon as I tried to load a patch it crashed Cubase 8.5.

is this a new Win beta for all systems, but addresses mostly SSE issues ? ...or is it SSE specific ?

Post

It's the full installer, but the only change is an attempt to get SSE support working properly...

Bitwig
Loading any preset from the Browser window causes a crash.
Changing presets from the Main window does not cause crash.

No audio processed, silent output.
Activity showing on the audio in meter of the plugin but nothing on the output unless I raise the dry slider

Ableton
No sound as above

Windows 8.1
x64
SSE3

Has what you've worked out for CPU here going to be something that can be/will be/might be applied to B2?
