unfortunately again, only 1 license for ilok activation from zynaptiq.

For that price it should be no problem to provide 2 activations for convenience (eventide, soundtoys, oeksound, sonible, air, sonivox, kush, psp, softube, UVI have at least 2 and for that reason i have almost all their stuff). I don't want to plug/unplug the ilok always when i'm going home from the studio, just in case i needed it.

Just mention that from time to time and hope the developers overthink their current policy.
100% agree! I never purchase any ilok product without at least 2 installs. Some companies like PSP even offer 3! As a composer I use a main Mac Pro, pc sample host, and laptop composing rig, (and I have many colleagues who run at least the same amount of machines) so 3 licenses for us is ideal. One license is really ridiculous IMO.
To be fair, if you email denis he'll usually give you a second authorization.

Indeed, support at Zynaptiq is really great, as are their plugins. If you like the free reverb, try their Adaptiverb.
Magical, to say the least.

It's all kinda like this...

Trials are free, this is free, what's the difference? If people weren't going to buy a plugin in the first place then they'll just game the trial request.

What's not cool is messing up their subscriber mailing list with incomplete transactions, but, I don't think that people would be posting that if there were an easy to get to link on their website. I went to look to see if I could easily share that with some friends on another site and there isn't.
Subspace is free as in lunch. It's a reward for being an existing customer or taking a product out on a test drive. They want you to take the test drive. Sure, you can game the system, but that's not the point. I mean, why do I have to go all the way to a car dealer and spend a half hour driving a car with a salesman next to me even though I have no interest in it just to get the $50 gift card? Keep in mind, Zynaptiq didn't promote this here, random people did. Zynaptiq is quite clear on the product page what the exchange entails: https://www.zynaptiq.com/subspace/

Granted, the email loophole isn't technologically elegant. I was taken aback when I got the offer, since I have my mail forwarded to a different email address and it's now launching a mailto:. But developers should be aware that these types of deals get posted all over the internet and must be accounted for. You can tell who's more experienced in these things, where they'll roll out emails in waves to prevent a self-inflicted DDOS. Anyway, a "please don't share this link" would have sufficed.

Yes, that's clear, you miss my point. It is a missed opportunity and the reason is very much in the place where your analogy fails. This is much less like going to test drive a car and much more like getting a free sample in a grocery store. The sample is the actual thing that you're getting, just a smaller version of it. So there's very little reason, other than cost, from sharing the sample with as many people as you wish. The marginal cost of a digital product approaches zero so there is very little cost here. By getting people to try your "sampler", you're getting them to try your product.

That's what I was saying. People who are convinced already that your brand is unique aren't going to be more convinced by an extremely limited freebie, but people who aren't might be.

Yes, so if you're going to suck at it, then you're better off to turn your lemons into lemonade. Like I said, I think that it was a missed opportunity. It's like if you go into the grocery store and they're giving away samples and you say "man I'm hungry, can I try one", and they say "oh no, these are for people who might want to buy our products." Well, you've pretty much made certain that I'm not going to be your customer now. Getting grumpy and/or stingy over a freebie that you've made it easy for everyone to get may not have the effect that you want. I seem to recall some pretty beefy backlash over the focusrite R2 giveaway. Some of EA's concerns were more valid IMO because R2 was a pretty serious freebie, but this isn't, it's like a little freebie piece of sausage in the grocery store. Getting stingy over that just makes you look cheap.

For the record, I couldn't find that page when I went looking for it yesterday or the day before, don't quote me exactly. I'm not sure if it wasn't up yet or I just missed it.

I still think that it's silly to not just put a "subscribe here and get our newsletter and this plugin right now" button on the page. Do you really think that people who want to demo a plugin won't because they can get this? Or that people who would game the system wouldn't just download the trial and then drop it into the trash can?

What about AUDIONAMIX XTRAX STEMS 1.5 + Harmor ?

DAW-integration or being automatic is non-essential. It's not for live or performance use. Haven't used any of the above software, but can I not use XTRAX STEMS to seperate the stereo wav, then use Harmor for each part to refine each stem, and finally use Melodyne Essential 4 to convert to MIDI?

Since Harmor is more of an instrument than an editor, I think it will be difficult or impossible to use it in the way that you're hoping. Actually, now that I know you want to extra MIDI and not the audio stems themselves, I realize I was wrong before and a combination of XTRAX STEMS and Melodyne Editor would probably be best for you. Also, in this context, I think you were right that you could do it with just Melodyne Editor, it would just take a little effort to separate things out. Melodyne Essentials almost definitely would not work.

I think both our analogies are illustrative but our ideas of the freebie aren't jiving. Subspace is great but it doesn't reveal much about the other products. A sample in a grocery store is exactly indicative of a larger amount of it. We're talking about a range of different tools with features that don't exist in Subspace. So getting people to try the actual products is a reasonable and obvious goal.
Getting grumpy and/or stingy over a freebie that you've made it easy for everyone to get may not have the effect that you want.
I don't see a clarification of the situation as being "grumpy". If people are sore for being denied after gaming the system, while still being able to get it for free legitimately, nothing is going to please them.

Of course, but getting your foot in the door is half the way.

Indeed there was no product page. I wasn't going to post about it because I couldn't
figure out how to point anyone to it. Then I read about the email address in the other forum
while searching for info on it.

I honestly figured that sending the blank email was equivalent to subscribing to the
newsletter, so I didn't see any harm. Nyway, they asked me to edit the post very
nicely, explaining their position, and thanked me for promoting it.

Haha, I thought it was really Adele. It's only a short clip though so

The previous post about Melodyne selling up has me a bit nervous. Don't like that it's Mac only though.
