The 64 bit version doesn't work here. When I try to load it into Reaper, I get this error msg: "file couldn't be opened: C:\Program Files\u-he\Zebra2\Data\Scripts\Zebra2.txt - 1"

When I confirm this error Zebra is loaded anyway, I get some sound, but no GUI.

That means that your Zebra2.data folder is not present in your 64 bit Vstplugins folder. Just create a symbolic link / shortcut to the same Zebra2.data you're using for 32 bit.

Thanks!

Urs,

I re-installed 2.5 release as a couple of the Beta bugs were getting to me. I took the opportunity to check which bugs I filed were or were not present in 2.5.

Arp 1-step trouble:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 59#4395459

Problem does not show up in 2.5 release.

LFO random & user sound like noise:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 02#4367902

Problem does not show up in 2.5 release.

Phase modulation noise:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 56#4359456

Problem does not show up in 2.5 release. After examining the preset further I noticed the modulation source for OSC2 was a random LFO which leads me to believe it's the same problem as the one directly above.

LP Vintage2 clicking:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 49#4355249

This problem is still there for me on 2.5 release. I'd appreciate it if someone on a mac would download the preset I link to and see if they hear clicks too.

Thanks bmrzycki!

I think the LFO bug is addressed, I'll look into the others as soon as I'm back home (in 4 weeks). Pity I havn't managed it before vacation :-|

Hi Urs,

Are 64-bit OS X versions planned for Filterscape and MFM2 this year?

Cheers,

Alan

I think I found another bug that might have slipped in during the 2.5 update. I found this with regular 2.5, not the latest beta.

Zebra Science -> 1 Basses -> HS Orcane

I noticed if I played notes very lightly (velocity ~20 or less) I would get a very noticeable audible click at the beginning of the note. After dissecting the preset for about half an hour I finally found the source, MSEG2 modulating the XMF cutoff.

The strange thing is if I change the MSEG envelope Trigger type from mono to poly the clicks disappear with no changes to the modulation destinations or MSEG2's shape. The voice mode is still legato so it doesn't sound different to me when playing short passages.

Any idea why this clicking would occur with MSEGs in mono and not poly mode?

All patches using the 2 random waveforms in LFO's go crazy, the cycle tick goes ok for 2 ticks then on third tick they go bananas! Using the latest Zebra version.

Will be fixed soon! Just need to come back from vacation, fix MSEGs and upload new betas.

Forgot to ask... roughly when in 2011 do you anticipate them being ready?

Thanks again,

Alan

Sheesh... published release dates have never been met. I wanted to wait until 64bit VST on Mac is done as well, which we have now decided to be VST3. I'll have a look on the progress when I'm back from vacation next week.

No worries Urs, just wanted to get an idea.

Good news about 64bit VST on Mac being an option though! :)

Have a good rest-of-vacation.
