Thank You for the prompt response. I use now a short gating effect.IrionDaRonin wrote:From Dblue Glitch free version, you can use:rammellzee wrote:so if every effect in glitch is disabled and he uses the bandstop this should be allowed. or does a tapestop count as a pitchshift?Mushy Mushy wrote:Any FX that alter pitch are not allowed.Harthstein wrote:Is it allowed to use this plugin: dblue Glich v1.3 beta Freeware?
I want create a short bandstop effekt (1 sec duration)
The filters, slightly use of distortion mixed with the signal to add saturation, (but Podolski has a Drive knob to do this on board), slightly use of Crusher, again mixed with the signal.
You also can feel free to use the Gater, which is just volume down/up syncronized with tempo.
You can not use:
·TapeStop which is pitchshifting, so not allowed.
·Modulator, which is FM modulation.
·Buffer type effects, which are Retrigger, Shuffler and Reverser.
·Delay, which can become flangey effect if you use low rates of speed and high amount of feedback (However, you can use Podoslki delay extremely if you want, because it comes from the synth itself).
·Stretcher which changes the nature of the sound very easily.
I hope everything was clear.
In any case, the best option is to not use this, others participants could find it a bit cheeky or unpleasant and you could notice it in the final votes.
In any case, you don't have to use always a tapestop effect to make a bass drop, there are a few other tricks to do this.
Have a nice day

Yesterday I decided I probably wasn't going to have time to do an entry. Then I just started messing with podolski on lunch break, I thought I'd use it for a non-competition song. Then I got to making something I like, and now I have a decent start to a song.. Guess I will enter after all. At least I have a few nights left to work on it
Whooo.... Almost 50 entries already!
Is 50+ entries considered a large round? What's the most the OSC has ever had?

I wasn't inspired by the synth at first either, especially going through the presets, I thought they are just too bizarre and unusable. But once you start tweaking them you find very interesting and musical sounds and it does become inspiring to use.

Hello everyone!
I am deeply regretful of not having participated in the last 10 contests, but unfortunately real-life concerns got the best of me for quite a while (and promise to do so again in a few months, I fear). Nevertheless, I have returned with a submission in the last possible moments for this month!
Also, let me just say, I cannot believe how much busier it is around here than it was a year ago! Great to see such an active community, I wish I had more time to devote to these things
Without further ado:
Track: dwringer - ex machina
https://soundcloud.com/dwringer/dwringer-ex-machina
DAW: Reaper x64
Podolski Instances: 10
Effects: 3x ReaComp Compressor
2x Ambience Reverb
1x ReaEQ Equalizer
Background: The chord progression featured in the second half of this piece (repeating 16 bars starting on Ab7) was actually composed automatically by a computer, using a differential evolution algorithm, then voiced/arranged into a song by hand

A free multiband is totally legit... which one is it?Diego_C wrote:I started working the track in the spare time plus I have to face the dentist too today
so really just few hours available to see if I'll be able to finish something but i'm trying
just to ask: in the master track of the daw is allowed to use a free multiband compressor (I guess is the only fx I'm going to use for this entry)? Thanks

Hi i'm back, a shade of reddish brown..
48 entries already is second highest number so far and shows that like with the record holder Triple Cheese these small but capable synths from u-he are the most preferred for the competition.
