The only exception I can think of at the moment is Reason Essentials 8, which users of RE 2 could not upgrade to.

However I search for a sampler tool, and still Kontakt seems to be the right choice.
Already got directwave and devine machine.
For me directwave has only one useful function : it can sample vstis. As far as I know it can't automatically assign loop slices to keys (thinking in a drumlooop)...
