What do you think about the new gui?

Hard to say a lot of the functionality just according to the picture.

What is a fact is that the old GUI suffered some bad implementation. When the Geist was launched, I gave feedback to the developer that they will loose potential customers because some bad planning - some are (were) missing functions but most interface things. A good product could be much better with just some relatively minor tweaking. Lets hope the best.

From that shot, I'm not impressed. I also don't like Strobe 2's new GUI.

Honestly, that pic looks like a mess. It looks like a design I would come up with...and that's far from a compliment.

I will most likely upgrade. I just hope that they also implement a dark version just like strobe 2. I love strobe 2 new gui. Hated dcam synth squad gui, but I purchased it because it sounded good and I got it at a discount price.

Thats what i am thinking too. But also i think sometimes less is more. This "minimalistic look" shows what it is: a drummachine. Would it be a little more fitting together, with a minimal 3d-deepth, for example, it would be ok. And this turquoise-looking green, is really

I'm finding Strobe's new GUI to be pretty awesome. I think portions of GEIST will benefit from that type of layout. I'm curious how some of the sampler/editor functions and song mode will fit into that concept though. I'm not worried about the colors to be honest.

I'm going to withhold judgment until this is released. I never really ended up getting much use out of Geist 1. I bought Ableton Live shortly after buying Geist, and it has a good enough native workflow that I've never really felt the need to go back into Geist at all.

good for you for having a sense of humour. Seems hard to find on here recently.

I agree that the green on gray is not attractive in those initial mockups. But, I don't find Strobe 2 Ugly at all. And it is extremely fast and intuitive to use.

And, basically we are trading out fancy 3d graphics for faster rendering, sizing and visual feedback. The flat look is making a comeback. You know "the only thing new is something old".

Speaking about strobe 2, i didn't try it, so my comment was more looking towards guis, and especially the geist 2 screenshot. The only positive thing that could make me jump in that ship is the resizable gui and the new browser !

Hmmm... Not too sure what I think of the new GUI. It looks cluttered.

But I do like the new Strobe tho'. Nice and clean...
