M8's time stretching can also be used in sampler modules.
Using more extreme stretch factors, interesting soundscapes can arise.

What's changed:

• Track and rack mute context menu now includes "Consolidate Mutes" which will convert solo states into pure mutes.
• Fixed a sonic bug in the audio filters when the input signal varies between mono and stereo.
• When launching MuLab 8 and opening a project and there are missing audio files and you choose "Locate" then the audio file browser was not previewing audio files. Fixed.
• Previewing MuClips that don't have a sequence loop did not always work as expected. Fixed.

How to update:
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.

Having been using M8 for a few weeks now, there seems to have much more instability in moving sequences and notes within a sequence, intermittently causing clicks or pops when an element is repositioned.

I am away from my computer at the moment, but will update with my audio setup later if this will be helpful.

If you're new to M8 beta please see the install instructions in the first post of this topic. Then pls double-check that you have properly updated to the latest M8.0.59.

Hmmm, I can't seem to reproduce the issue now, I will update if I encounter it again, sorry for the confusion.

Note that sometimes it's possible that when doing edits in the composition / sequences / modular sound system there may be a little hitch in the audio output as the edit is applied, but it should be minimal and not too much of a prob. Pls keep an eye / ear on it and let me know if you encounter anything unexpected or too unpleasant.

I know that whenever MuLab starts (in this case in the demo version, after giving the ok) the software always starts playing automatically. Can this function be removed? Thank you.

Mine doesn't, tho I can't remember if there's a setting for this. I'm sure years ago that it used to?
But then I coulda sworn there was an Audio to MIDI converter in there somewhere!
