To me it is identical, except you can see the screen better ;)

Select a channel, double click an instrument, set volume, pan, MIDI channel, go to the next and do the same thing. Set all MIDI channels the same and you have up to 16 instruments playing at the same time - depending on the instrumentation of course.

The same intuitiveness as was in ST2.5.

Then, if you want to tweak a sound, go to the "Edit" page and turn dials to your hearts content :D

Going into the Live page expands on this as you can set up "Songs" (I think up to 64), each with its own set of Multi's and up to 16 instruments per multi.

Darkstar post seemed to suggest some new layering functionality, which made it possible to create the patches he posted.

However I wasn't sure if that was indeed the case.

Post

DarkStar and Teksonik, thanks for the confirmation.

What is the best way to report this to someone who actually needs to know about it?

Huh? I just loaded the SampleMoog DruMoog Combi then cut and pasted the Range settings for the instruments.

Should I raise one too ? You can see how inefficient this method is for bug tracking.........:bang:

But I understand it is what it is......still it's frustrating....... :)

The deal is everything is.....better. Better and more effects, much better GUI which makes creating Mulits much more pleasant and efficient. The Mixer page is a huge addition.......the edit page is more logically laid out. Macro strip is much easier to see.......I'm sure there are other things I haven't even discovered yet.....

The ST3 content lends itself well to layering but to be honest I'm just having an insane amount of fun with the Sonik Synth content which I have owned for years but I'd swear sounds better to me now....(statement not backed up by scientific fact. :hihi: )

But as Dan pointed out a few pages back many of the Instrument patches are really too loud. Perhaps it's something in the Comp or Velocity conversions but they do need to be reworked. Not a big deal but someone should go through and level match them and release an updated set........ (someone at IK I mean). :P

I've been wondering the same. Maybe he is real busy getting everything sorted and enjoying his playtime in ST3 ;)

Hope so.

Hi, the Drumoog patches are all found, and adjusted for playability.

The other missing parts are not on my computer, and it seems they never were. I wonder what IK will make of that? I ain't paying a download fee for something that wasn't there, but should've been, in the first place.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify these issues. :tu:

PS, dsan, sadly, no, I've basically had to put it away the last couple of days because it is annoying me, and I am trying to make some music. Between the unfound patches, the Core Audio issue (mostly resolved on my end, but IK support cannot replicate the problem), and patches not sounding in parts 1-4 within Logic, I've just needed a break.

Understandable. Sometimes it is best to take a break from frustration, no doubt.

Glad to hear you are ok otherwise :tu:
