They may have been silent here, doesn't mean they were silent everywhere.

I know but it’s not my place to add fuel to this fire. All parties were hurt enough, I wish everyone could simply have grace about it and move on. We all make mistakes.

the only thing that sours in my mind is the breaking of an agreement. one should always keep one's word even when it is a mistake. maybe even more so when it is a mistake imo we learn by doing things wrong... at least it sticks because usually one has to do it over correctly... it sinks in. doing things right usually goes under the radar and is easily forgotten. i am sure TAL will not forget this and will more closely read and/or ask for more clarification in the future before agreements.

but in TAL's defense they DID apologize and take responsibility. it shows character and THAT is a plus so it 'almost' balances out. i hold no animosity. as was said "we all make mistakes" no one was hurt in this except AD, TAL and quite possibly the US distributor and they all lost a little bit of 'face'. those that think they were hurt only went through stress and anxiety but for what? a few bucks?

anyways i am moving on... no more energy needs to be expended on this matter

cheers

100% support TAL in this situation. Patrick is a unique developer providing amazing plugins at already very cheap prices. Neither do I blame AD. Miscommunication and misunderstanding.

....But as I said and you failed to comprehend,..... To think otherwise is naive.
I like the way you debate, lol.

Funny enough, just before your answer I was debating with more polite and interresting persons if yes or no this thread was full of drama-queens and keyboard warriors.

You offer a cheap answer :D .

In business, when you realize you're making a mistake, your next step is to immediately stop making it. That's what TAL did.

i think ad was very predatory in even doing this to such a small developer who clearly did not know how to understand such high level strategies. one may even conclude that the confusion was designed to manipulate the limited understanding of a single one man team developer. i would not put it past people who spend day in night out in the field of business to think how to effectively prey on such a little guy.

Post

i hope this does not destroy this company. sometimes, this is exactly the reason why developers stop making products. they get disgusted at this kind of reality.

Could be true, but to be fair, we really don't know the motives behind AD's thinking and we may never know. But like Uncle E said:

And this too:

I can tell you I don't want to be a contributor to this by spreading the negative drama flames any further. Hopefully others don't either. There's no need. Its done. I'm going to just go back to loving the plugins like I did before and use TAL J-8 to make that kabillion dollar platinum chart crushing hit that changes the world.

The fact is: mistake or not, sales were not honored, because TAL decided so.
Now especially in this thread will appear many spin doctors who will try to do their best to make damage control on the behalf of TAL to blame anyone else except TAL, so TAL could limit the damage he inflicted himself by deciding not to save face, but to blame others for the fact that he himself couldn’t understand the sale terms he initially agreed with.
To the spin doctors: good luck changing the minds of people who didn’t receive the TAL plugins they rightfully purchased during this sale.

?!?
as has been said before a couple of times, it is common practice to stop transactions when an error has occured, it usually is even in their sales terms.
good luck when you try to get a MacBook Pro from Amazon that they accidentally put on sale for $299 instead of $2999
