LOL! If he advertised with sea creatures, he'd promise Sea Monkeys, but if you ever received them, they'd be Brine Shrimp.Melodioso wrote:Sascha Franck wrote:If we all keep helping it along, this thread *will* beat the "AT2 supposed to be..." thread.
I mean, it might do anyways, assuming that it'll probably take another year or two.![]()

i sometime wish MidiWorks had a sea creature on his side as well, advertising his product from time to time when the hype would fly away... but all there is... ...is the vast silence from the very deep of the ocean.

P.S. Nothing wrong with a little harmless taunting, if it actually gets this thing released.

Not me. I prefer the "Put up or shut up" option.Lunch Money wrote:In case anybody's forgotten, everyone basically told him to "put up or shut up", and so he has deliberately chosen not to add much to this thread until he's able to "put up".
And now a few people are asking for him to make another new statement? You can't have it both ways.

I still believe it will see the light of day.
And my guitar is only getting more vintage, so I can wait.
But I would like to have the sim in 2006, not 2007...

Na ja, mal sehen, wer wirklich hinter diesem Rene/Midiworks steckt.

not me, this way I'm not losing anything, winning this [cough] [cough] amp could be a very hollow victory...I'd rather he "owe" us the amp than cheat me out of itbeergeek wrote:I want to win the amp.

no offense towards Rene, I still believe deep down that he will one day finish it. But that doesn't change how I feel. I'm sorry, but he now has reached a point where he needs to earn my respect as a businessman. There are many reputable companies now selling similar products. The response on the NI GR and AT2 has been quite promising. If I were to decide to get an amp sim (which I just bought POD xt live anyhow) I would surely go with one of those. Maybe one day Rene will build the reputation and I will see things differently, but at this point I just would not do business with any company that has behaved in this manner. Again that is not intended to be an attack on Rene, it's just how I feel about to whom I give my money. I'm sure if I were to meet Rene we would hit it off right away, and I'm equally sure he is a good programmer. But a good businessman that does not make.MrM wrote:I'll just say that my faith in a good outcome has recently increased!

Really? I wouldn't go with either. I'm underwhelmed by GR and AT, and the more I hear from them and about them, the happier I am with my TonePort.
It'll take more than the current offerings to get me interested in alternative plug-in solutions (Green Machine II being the last one that got me excited) again.

I can't disagree with that at all, I should of said I would try those demos first. I still haven't even tried the TonePort software that came with the xt live, though it is installed. For some reason in both AA2.0 and Sonar I cannot seem to use a different card for output so I can record through the usb with the xt live and hear anything whilst I play. Azimuth was done using the analog outs and I'm okay with that, I might try putting my Aurel Exciter between the xt and soundcard sometime. But I still need to figure this sooner or later...Lunch Money wrote:Really? I wouldn't go with either.
