Love ya Guitarzan! Best, NB
guitarzan wrote:I think FreeAmp 3 is getting pretty close! I PM'd FS a couple weeks ago requesting that he add the new gate and a speaker sim bypass to FA2 if FA3 was still a ways off and he answered that it would be better to just press ahead with FA3 since it was progressing so well.
@Marduchk - either Jason Brian Merrill (or was it Brian Jason Merrill, or Merril Jason Brian...??) has returned with a new screen name, or free amp sims attract the most outrageous ingrates imaginable. It's not worth it for free?? What the f**k does that even mean??? Very insulting to Fretted Synth and to all those who've stated here that they really enjoy FreeAmp! Show some common decency, man!

Hello All
Yes FreeAmp3 is alive and well, but the way its now looking
it will be a complete new amp.
Right now I have all the drive amps (30 of them) part of the
speakers (9 of them) the eq, noise gate, chorus, flanger, phaser,
delay, reverb all now use less then half the CPU of FA2.
Have much work done on velocity tracking for the duel amps
And a bunch of other bits and pieces.
Still a lot needs to be done before I put it all together!
Clean amps must be made, the synth is going in for a complete overhaul
and many other small details. Will get there
And don't worry about the folks who think its all crap
Who knows to them it could be? but for me the response I
get most is very upbeat
many large magazines have had
very nice things to say, and being in an article named
"Record Great Electric-Guitar Tones Without an Amplifier"
in a magazine I have read for many years tells me a very
much different storie from what I hear from the "crap" folks.
BTW if you want to check out the CPU use of the FX for FA3
go to my webpage and check out SafFron http://frettedsynth.com
A simpkle Soundfont player with FX.
Peace

dude, saffron is freaking awesome. very low cpu, great effects, great envelope, nice routing/modulation, awesome lock to host tempo.
that interface is awesome too vera.
man this is staying in my plug folder. replacing sfz and sfzbuddy.

Hey FrettedSynth, I really love how FreeAmp3 is coming together!! I especially like how it is sounding better and using less CPU than FreeAmp2!!! Great job!!!
I agree with Grymmjack as well. Saffron looks really cool!!! I didn't even know you had released it. Have you listed it with KVR? You ought to. I DO have a question regarding the Synth Edit Soundfont capability though. Granted, it has been a while since I last checked on things, but didn't Synth Edit only offer rudementary soundfont support? Do you know exactly what Synth edit supports and doesn't support in a soundfont? I'm just curious. Either way, Saffron looks really cool!!! Thanks again for everything!!!!!
