Call it a spleen, but I don't want a vintage instrument with a reverb mix knob on it. Maybe I am old fashioned. Same goes for the other organ, wich I love, too.Tale wrote: I guess I could re-upload v1.3.0 beta1 for you, but what exactly don't you like about it? If you set the reverb mix to 0.282 (the default) you will get exactly the same sound as with the reverb switched on in v1.3.0 beta1, and 0 still turns off the reverb completely.
It would be really great to get them both without the mix knob.
Thanks.

Well, I am old fashioned too, or else I would not bother trying to create the organs.rasmusklump wrote:Call it a spleen, but I don't want a vintage instrument with a reverb mix knob on it. Maybe I am old fashioned. Same goes for the other organ, wich I love, too.

I have a minor dilemma: Both impulse repsonses used in Combo Model V (and F) were downloaded from a website offering them for free, which I guess they are. I did a quick Google search but I could not find anything about their origin, so I then assumed they were public domain (wrong!).
I have since tracked down the creator of the Vox AC30 IR, and I have his permission. However, the Fender Bassman IR was probably created by Beamsonic (as stated here), but he seemed to have disappeared. So, does anyone know anything about Beamsonic, or about his IRs? Thanks!

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Thanks so much for listening to my feature requests! New cabinet allows for an even greater sound palette! I hope you sort out the copyright issues...Tale wrote:I have updated Combo Model V to v1.3.0 beta2.
Changes:
- Replaced reverb on/off switch with reverb mix knob.
- Improved silence detection when reverb is on.
- Replaced cab on/off switch with 3-way knob.
- Added 2nd, Fender-style cabinet.
- Updated to latest WDL/IPlug framework.
One thing though: maybe a dropdown list would be a better solution for selecting the cabinet type.

What, a dropdown list in a vintage instrument? I don't think rasmusklump would approve...karrikuh wrote:One thing though: maybe a dropdown list would be a better solution for selecting the cabinet type.

Larger knobs might be in order though. They're disproportionally small compared to everything else in the control panel. Also, the 3 cabinet selection positions could be spread out further along the entire knob range.Tale wrote:What, a dropdown list in a vintage instrument? Would this be better?Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Larger knobs might be in order though. They're disproportionally small compared to everything else in the control panel. Also, the 3 cabinet selection positions could be spread out further along the entire knob range.

well, since it seems easier to make fun on behalf of an user instead of simply give a link to the first beta, I don't care anymore.

C'mon now, where is your sense of humour?rasmusklump wrote:well, since it seems easier to make fun on behalf of an user instead of simply give a link to the first beta, I don't care anymore.
Anyway, the offer to implement some way to customise the reverb knob still stands, but you will have to further explain: What you have against the reverb knob? Do you want the reverb on/off switch back? Or don't you want the reverb at all?

I'm glad I donated so I don't feel guilty about using this. It just keeps getting better & better! Thanks!
