Propellerhead are unquestioningly brilliant at generating a buzz around their products. And they apparently have no moral qualms about deliberately spreading misinformation, negativity, and lies about their competitors.

It seems to me worthwhile to challenge that, to provide some balance to their propaganda, in the hope that potential customers can actually access a range of opinions from current and previous Reason users and other musicians with experience and knowledge about music software.

To put it another way - a significant proportion of the Reason users I know bought the software because they were ignorant of alternatives and unaware of Reason's profound limitations. If threads like this can show up in Google, then it might help prevent more musicians from making uninformed choices ;)
Yeah. Based on the assumption that everyone else than the critics of PH are 40% less intelligent than a piece of plywood.
And if he really thinks people need his advice to make informed choices, he can just tell them to download the friggin demo and learn the program.

In my native tongue, we have a saying, which rhymes pretty well:

"Når kritik bliver kritik for kritikkens egen skyld, den ofte i røven ender som en byld."

Now go figure. The hint is that it is not sweedish but damn close, so try experiment with the google translater.

I love Reason 5, Ableton 8, and a few other bits I use. During the time that this thread has been running, I have released three tracks on my soundcloud page - feel free to check them out.

How many tracks did you release during the past fortnight? Very happy to listen to your stuff too, as you know :)
In this light, just about all, and mean ALL what people have complained about Reason and PH appear to me like it comes from fiftheen year old spoiled little tweenie twats that have NO CLUE what modern technology has to offer then. And this is not meant as an insult.
Strange. Because that is actually quite insulting!
It was nice to see you actually write something positive about reason in the fanboy thread, but I guess that this were just a little side step from your part and that you now are ready to continue your crusade against PH.
Everything positive I said in your fanboy thread - and in dozens of threads here over many years - is the truth about my positive feelings towards Reason as a great piece of software. And everything I have said in the threads that take a more critical stance is the truth about how I feel towards their current direction and marketing nonsense. It's possible as a professional musician to love the software but still grow weary of the hype that surrounds it

I'm genuinely sorry you find my posts to be insulting in any way though... and I'm genuinely keen to hear the music you come up with in Reason. In case you forgot, I even tried to help you out in that thread ... so why the personal abuse now?

I was disappointed that so few Reason users were willing to share their Reason tracks - as I shared mine - in the fanboy thread. In the end, for me this is all about the music. So come on people - let's hear your Reason tracks in the fanboy thread here:

I have no further interest in reading your bad excuses for being negative towards PH and reason and releasing tracks from Reason won't legalize it either in my eyes, just make you look twisted. Just mute me and I will do the same to you. Hi and bye.

Nah, I don't mute people. It's healthy to hear other views. And if I ever spot a chance to help you again in future ... that will be cool too. No hard feelings on my part mate.

You haven't helped me with anything of importance. Informing me that Reason can not function as a Rewire master is hardly anything I wouldn't have figured out myself. And I certainly do not need your or your fellow critics help to make music in Reason either. I have been into music making for 30 years thank you and Reason is a piece of cake to figure out in this respect....and I have actually owned it before in version 3. So stop patronizing me as if I was a born yesterday and stop flattering yourself on my behalf.

Actually I made some positive suggestions which anyone can read if they visit that thread... but if it didn't help, never mind. I tried, and you presented yourself as somebody brand new to Reason who hadn't understood the basics of Rewire implementation. As people can also see for themselves. But if it was a miscommunication, never mind.

You can continue being hostile if you like ... but seriously, I'm not playing that game, or changing to become hostile in return.
