That looks almost identical in both concept and function to one of my own products. Elevayta Extra Boy Pro!

:?
Sue them as they sue everyone else copying their stuff..

Just kidding matte but seriously it does look similar however there are meny tools out there which share similarities so...

I just purchased the pre-sale Producer upgrade. I was already considering getting R-Mix when I first saw YT videos of what it can do and was expecting it to be a $149 stand alone software. So upgrading for $99 was a no-brainer for me.

"absolutely" :hihi:

good job so far though :D

It's not a real good time for me to drop $199 on the X1 Studio-to-X2 Producer upgrade. What I'm wondering is: is this the ongoing upgrade price into the fall? Specifically, until November or so? It's not apparent from the Cakewalk site...

Oh, and is the DSF Symphonic Strings an ongoing freebie with the upgrade?

I tried watching 2 whole vids in a row ...

I like their low-key demeanor ...

One thing I have realized is some of the stuff I've tried to do in SONAR could be done but the manual just wasn't clear. This sort of video, coinciding with the release so it's timely, is FANTASTIC!

(I'm trying to encourage them to keep it up) :hihi:

I do think more camera time should be on the software and physical controls (hands) though and a bit less on Brandon and Seth, because sometimes you miss what they're doing with the mouse or controls.

I am also looking for an answer to that question. As they are going to stop supporting XP, I will have to move to Win 7 64 bit at some point. So it would be great if they upgrade everything to 64 bit. I installed X1 on my Win 7 64 bit laptop the other day. Can't believe almost all the stock effects are still 32 bit. I used too many StudioVerb2 in one of my project on 32bit XP, now on 64bit it does not sound nice cause SV2 is missing. I cannot even imagine why only SV2 is missing whereas Delay and others are still there. And they kept all those for backward compatibility except SV2? wow.. dropping effects like this is not a good idea. Not sure if Sonitus ones are 64 or 32 bit, I will have to check.

Oh, this is an interesting point. So you mean to say the price may go up after fall? hmmm.. Better check with CW sales guys. I didn't jump onto the pre-sale cause I wanna wait to see if it is goes down during the holidays... thanksgiving, christmas aren't that far and I am not in a hurry. If the price goes up then will wait till next year. :-D

I don't think DSF strings will be offered for free after Pre-sale. Looks like it's a pre-sale thing but you never know, CW marketing is weird at times.

New video on Breverb Sonar.

I'm already up to my wazoo in strings that don't get used enough, so I guess these would have to be simply fantastic to sway a purchasing decision.

I just hate to dip into savings to buy things - I try to work out of monthly cashflow. And like you, I am sensitive to the holiday sales and year-end 'meet the marketing target' panics!

Video Summary: Cakewalk took a lot of good ideas that have been around in other DAWs for years (StudioOne, Ableton, FLStudio) and put them into Sonar X. Suddenly Sonar is competitive again.

Will cakewalk ever not be a me-too company?
